In the month of March, I visited this place for a business trip. It was a very good city to visit. The location was excellent; it was near to market place. Car was the best way to reach this place. The appearance was excellent, it was beautiful. The front was excellent; the staff's were co-operative and helping. It was an online booking. The room was very good, it was clean and spacious, and all facilities were available. The room service was excellent, no delay in service. The food and drink was excellent to taste, complimentary breakfast was provided with more varieties. The activity was excellent, Gym and Spa was available, free WiFi facility available. The overall it was an excellent stay.
We had been to this hotel in Jan'16. This a decent hotel where the room cost is approx 800 per night. The hotel is located in Queens Road, crystal junction which is close to the station. This place is close to Golden temple, Jallianwala baug & the main market. It located in the prime location which has good connectivity & good food joints The hotel is well-maintained, rooms are decent with all necessary service required & cooperative staff. Being a very budget hotel it good for budget travellers & backpack travellers If you are travelling with your family prefer Hotel Basera. Close to the hotel there is Khau Gulli which has all sorts of food available from Pav bhaji to Dosa to Chinese and non veg. The food is good at reasonable price.
Purpose of our family visit was seeing the Golden Temple, Jalianwala bagh and Wagah Border, besides shopping for woollens and salwar suits. We didn't see any swimming pool, beds were pretty ordinary, the television set was very old and cable options were very limited. Provision for car parking was good, but no arrangements for drivers' lodging available. Service was okay, but not very efficient. We were given ground floor rooms and had reason to believe that first floor rooms, which were apparently better, should have been given to us. House keeping was just about okay. Travellers are advised that location of the hotel is nice, convenient for visits and marketing, away from crowd, but amenities are quite average; so do not expect anything lavish as it is very cheap. If we stay in the Hotel again, we would ask for better rooms with more modern amenities. Rooms and bathrooms were very large, but requires modernization and refurbishing. Food was very tasty, but service was sloppy.
Amritsar is a surprisingly congested city. No wonder, with the Golden Temple attracting thousands of pilgrims every single day. Congestion means more time than we expect on the road, while commuting to our place of interest. Which is why Basera Hotel was extremely convenient with its location just 15 minutes away from the Temple. Again, it is not too close to the pilgrim centre, so we are spared the cacophony of traffic. And the hotel itself though on a main road was mostly shielded from noise We were pleased by how the desk clerk responded politely with the directions though we arrived in the middle of the night and politely carried out the formalities. The refurbished rooms are large and pleasant, service quick and easy. The choice of complimentary breakfast by room service is quite above average too The linen was clean, decor pleasant and there was sufficient parking space, more than what we can ask for in big cities I would definitely stay at the same hotel if I went there again and recommend it to friends.
We stayed in hotel Basera in early December 2015 and is very near to Amritsar railway station. It is easily accessible to market and conveyance easily available. The room we stayed was wide open for sunlight which we liked. Breakfast was tasty, the service was very good and room charges very reasonable. At least we enjoyed during our stay.
