Visited Goa 4 times till now but the experience at this hotel was completely different from other hotels. The location of the hotel was nearby the sea, and less traffic. The front appearance of the office was not attractive but the overall, appearance of the hotel was good. Excellent environment was at the hotel, greenery rooms which makes it more attractive. The rooms were very clean and the room service was also good. The overall, service of the hotel was good. The food at the hotel was not good, can't expect many varieties, no activities at the hotel. The environment at the hotel and rooms were excellent, Can rate 8 out of 10 to hotel.
If you are looking for a spiritual break in a natural habitat and without nuances of TV and mobiles, this is the ultimate place to be. Rooms are surrounded by green cover which make it more interesting. If you still want to freak out, beach is just 100 metres walking distance.
I stayed here along with my friends few months ago. It was fabulous stay. The location is just a short ride away from beach. It is near to the beach and so less tariff, hard to believe but we stayed in and experienced it. The staff was understanding and cooperative. Ready to go to any extent to please guests. Best part was the food. It was so wonderful.
Overall, and every thing were excellent in the hotel. I reached there by flight. I took dinner inside the hotel it was fantastic. They did not provide any sightseeing trip. Yoga, pool and other extra activities were provided by the hotel. Staff was well spoken and friendly. Hotel was located at very convenient place. Room of the hotel was clean, neat and refurnished. Pick-up and drop facility was not provided by the hotel. I had my dinner inside the hotel it was fantastic with different qualities and varieties. Appearance of the hotel was fantastic. Garden view was appearing from the room. I did book it through internet. I went there with my friends in December 2013. Goa as a tourist place is lovely destination for travellers.
Palolem is the best-kept secret of Goa. The fact that apart from a few local Goan visitors, we were the only desi couple on the entire beach amply substantiates our claim. We discovered Palolem, arguably the best beach of Goa, just by chance and the credit for this goes to Indiaresortssurvey.com. From the exhaustive list of destinations provided on this site, we zeroed in on Bhakti Kutir and in turn were led to a pleasant surprise called Palolem. The beach is a clean long stretch of white sand and inviting green water (believe me, this is fast becoming a rare site even in Goa). There are no hotels or resorts here. The options for lodging are limited to rented rooms let out by villagers in their homes or the small cottages built alongside the beach mostly by shack-owners themselves. Bhakti Kutir is built on similar principle. There are 22 cabañas (huts) along with an amphitheater, open air restaurant and a shop on the premises. Mr. Panta, a former lawyer and his German wife have developed this property over past eleven years. Bhakti Kutir scores over other beach cottages in terms of location (its perched atop a hill by the sea) and thick green cover of foliage. The cabañas are spacious and no two cabañas are alike, which are fitted with bare necessities in the form of a double bed with mosquito net, a couple of chairs, a hammock, one or two odd lamp-shades, racks or shelves and a table fan. The electricity supply is erratic all over Palolem, which can cause some grief on humid summer nights. Apart from this, a wooden trunk is provided with lock and key to deposit your valuables. An urban mind may find the whole set up a bit too un-secured, but once you get used to it, you begin to enjoy this lifestyle of ‘back to basics’. Bhakti Kutir offers various facilities like classes in yoga, art, bamboo crafts etc. During our stay, Dr. Vijayan, a noted ayurvedic practitioner from Kerala had set up camp here and we were more than happy to avail his services. Another plus point of Bhakti Kutir is the food served here. Its moderately priced, simple, healthy, hygienic and surprisingly delicious. Of course, the menu is designed to serve the taste of its predominantly white guests. Local beer and wine are also listed on menu. The staff is well mannered and friendly. You will often find Mr. Panta seated in his swing-chair at open-kitchen next to the restaurant, always willing to indulge in a small chat. The flip side is very slow room service, or at times complete lack of it. Your desperate requests for service are met with charming laid back smiles by the staff. There are no showers and no hot water in the cabañas although it may be provided on request and the Indian squat style toilets may give the feel of discomfort. In its things to do list, Bhakti Kutir lists items like dolphin watching, bird watching and alligator sightings, hiking trips, jeep rides and visits to nearby wildlife sanctuary. However, the most important activity we discovered here is to do ‘Nothing”. Just laze around in hammocks, go for swims, go for walks, read, eat, drink, relax. You are at the best beach of Goa.
