In October 2013, while on our way to Kovalam from Kochi, the taxi driver mentioned to us that Cherai had a beach worth visiting. Myself and my wife decided to give it a try and thus had an unplanned visit to Cherai, by chance. Once we reached Cherai, we decided to stay there for one night and checked-in at Hotel Blue Waters and it was worth the stay . . We had not expected that it would turn out to be such a wonderful and rejuvenating experience. Even though the initial plan was to stay for a night or so but we could not avoid staying there for 03 nights. We had a room overlooking the mighty ocean. Each morning and evening, it was an enjoyable experience bathing and meditating on the beach followed by long walks along the beach. The Hotel staff including those manning the front office was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and spacious enough with all facilities a middle aged couple could look for and that too, at reasonable rates. The toilets were sanitized and had all necessary toiletries stocked therein. The linen was changed on a daily basis and the room service was prompt. The Front Office was very spacious with sufficient tourist information available about Kerala in the form of leaflets/posters The Hotel had a well stocked bar and serves veg as well as non-veg meals. The buffet breakfast services are good and the service staff was cool and efficient The Hotel had a good swimming pool. However, we preferred to bathe in the sea. God willing, I would visit the place once again in my lifetime to relive the peaceful and refreshing stay DKG
The first thing came to our minds when our marriage was fixed was-"Where would we plan our honeymoon? " Then after sinking our heads on loads of internet stuff, we finally came up with the name of the destination which was a dream to visit since years, 'Kerala- Gods own land'. We landed in Kerala and were waiting to reach the resort where we were supposed to stay, as we had heard a lot about it. With the green cover of nature all the way, beautiful lakes, and mind boggling landscapes it was all mesmerizing. When we reached the resort we were awestruck by the exterior of the resort. Placed facing the Cherai beach and a big welcome board clearly said-'Renai Blue Waters Cherai Beach and Backwater Resort'. It was a very warm welcome at the reception with all the smiling faces around which made us feel all the more comfortable in a new place. The rooms, fitted with all the luxuries yet toned with very calm and peaceful ambience, also gave a nice view of the serene lake behind the resort outlined by the majestic coconut trees with the fishermen sailing their boats to catch fishes. The 24/7 room service added to the overwhelming experience of the stay in the rooms making us feel royal. The restaurant is the most important asset of the resort as it served not only the most delicious cuisines but also served with a lot of patience and friendly fervor. The overall service, the courteous and rich environment as well as the facilities provided at the resort are awesome and really intriguing. The resort definitely is one of the major reasons that we are planning to visit Kerala again as it made us feel wonderful and rejuvenated from within. We strongly recommend "Renai Blue Waters Cherai Beach and Backwater Resort" to our friends and family and anyone who plans to visit Kerala.
Behaviour of the staff members was cooperative but cost wise, the hotel was bit costly according to location. Location of the hotel was nice but it was situated near about 5-7 km far from the bus stand. I did not face any difficulty to find this hotel. Check-in and check-out facility was not delayed. Services were prompt. Outer and inner look of the hotel was up to the mark. Room was spacious, neat, tidy and well maintained but I do not remember about amenities. Staff of the hotel was cleaning the room after one day. Washroom was neat and clean. Food facility was available there and it was okay-okay only because there were limited varieties available in veg. Veg and non-veg varieties were available there. Buffet system was not there and they served complimentary breakfast. Cost wise, the food was bit costly. Activities were not available there and they did not organize any sightseeing trip for us. This is a recommendable hotel for others travellers. It was a relaxation trip with my family.
I did not face any problem to find out the hotel. I went there for roaming around with family in October. My overall experience in this hotel was okay. Staff behaviour was not good there. Room was nice. No delay in check-in and check-out. Infrastructure of the hotel was very nice. Room was spacious, neat and clean. Bathroom, furnishings, blankets, and all were clean also. AC, TV, geyser, and all provided amenities were functioning well in the room. No view was available from there. Food was nice but there was delay in services. Food price was reasonable. No activity was there. They did not provide any sightseeing trip for us. Cochin is a good place. Hotel was value for money. It is a recommendable hotel to others. No advice is needed for other travellers.
Renai Blue -Waters Cherai is a good resort, located just half an hour from the Cochin airport and it very well maintained and also very secured. I had seen a lot of tourists from other countries staying at the same place, which showed that it had a fair level of visitors. Rooms were pretty neat and tidy, but didn't find any much extra benefits, with regards to Jacuzzi or decorating the room, as we were a honeymoon couple. Knowing that they could have given us a good welcome and decorated the room. Also the food was not that good and too expensive, enjoyed the complimentary breakfast though. But most of the items in the menu were repetitive . Also request the resort team to arrange few sightseeing options for the tourists, which makes it easy to go around and see other places like Munnar/alleppey, which was a minus point. They only have a backwater cruise which costed too expensive for just a couple. They should get something like a package with sightseeing included . The best part about this resort is that it closer to the main beach, and you can walk down and stroll, which is very good and relaxing.
