The Bramha Temple

The only temple dedicated to god Bramha is here. Bramha the creator of world according to Hindu mythology is worshiped here. The temple is 5 minutes walk from Pushkar lake. There are few other temples inside the premises. The normal visit of temple takes hardly one hour. During the festival time or on important dates according to hindu calendar it may take more time. There is a Gaushala inside where you can graze Gau mata by paying some Rupees.

One among very few brahma temples

You won't come across too many temples for Brahma in the world, but this temple is one such. Probably, the first in the world too. There is provision for keeping the bags and luggages, including the shoes and cameras in lockers before entering the temple. And inside also, we can feel that peaceful atmosphereA must visit place ..

Only Temple dedicated to Lord Brahma

Being the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, this place hold a lot of importance. It's a small temple and some 50 stairs will take you to the temple premises. There is no puja offered in the temple thus any offering to god is your choice. Do not believe touts who say aarti is going on and thus temple is closed and will take you to some shops till the time temple reopens.Lord Brahma was cursed and thus no aarti happens. Temple though remains closed for few hours in the afternoon.

How do I rate a temple

Decent and nice is The Brahma Temple. It Shuts at approx 1pm ... So be on time.If you visit BAAVAN GHAT or the lake as they call it ... No Entry Fee.But be careful of the Self proclaimed Priests who Scout for Prey and will badger the hell out of you to Take a 11 thali and offer to do some prayers for you. Sad that Religion is a Game for them.Thereafter they will ask you for a couple of 1000 assuming money grows on trees ... Lol!If you are the Regular Average Superstitious Indian you fall for it ... Else ask them to go take a hike as nothing was discussed b4.At Max ... Put 11 or Any Amount you choose in the GauDaan or Donation Box.Plan the BG escapade b4 The Brahma Temple and then go to The Savitri Temple via its Ropeway for a Panoramic View of Pushkar. You could also try climbing to the Top via approx 300 steps ... Though I bet it would feel no less than an expedition. There's a Ropeway Fee here.Your Trip to Pushkar would be futile minus the Camel Safari in the evening b4 Sunset ... You can just avail a 2hr ride if you do not wish to stay at night or in Tents.Caution ...Sadhus at Gaumukh and Shiv Temple do not Encourage Foreigners. On the way to Gaumukh has monkeys all around. The Kunds are at 5 areas around the Same so you may need to hunt.

The one and only Temple of Lord Brahma

It's a very good temple, I did not face much crowd in the morning. I will even recommend to visit in the morning around 7-8 am. The place is very quiet and full of +ve energy. It was pleasant in the morning even though this temple is in Rajasthan. It's the only temple of Lord Brahma so worth a visit.

The Brahma Temple is very famous because of its grandiose architecture of opulence but it is dedicated to Brahma. The Brahma idol is housed in Garbha Griha or the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. This four Headed statue of Brahma was installed by Maharaja Jai Singh-II of Jaipur. This temple is one only temple in the world.

Spiritual importance; nothing much to do here though

Brahma Temple is considered as the only temple of Lord Brahma in the world. That's why it is very important historically. But that's it. There are a few temples of Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga inside. Photography isn't allowed in the Brahma Temple but is allowed in the Shiva Temple and Durga Temple. You will not be allowed to take your digital camera inside. So I would suggest you to visit the temple in sub-groups instead of keeping it in the lockers. You can keep your baggage with the prasad wallahs outside the temple. There are a series of restaurants outside the temple where you can have a local meal of "Daal Baati" which is a traditional Rajasthani Food and a must try. There are soda and lemon juice vendors which you should try after the meal.
