Beautiful and serene place

This is a newly constructed "attraction" in Ravangla (Rabong) following the religious tourism theme in South Sikkim. It's a working temple and you'll see a few monks and other people offering prayers. It's located on a cliff-side in the beautiful town of Ravangla with spectacular views of the surrounding hills, including Pelling in the distance on a clear day. The entrance is ticketed - they have a huge parking area, everything is well maintained & clean and, there are lots of tourist facilities inside the complex. The centre of the park is the huge statue (130 ft) of the Buddha, surrounded by a landscaped garden with lawns, fountains, lighting, flowers, stone-art, etc. The actual temple is below and inside the Buddha statue and it's the most beautiful part of the whole place (sadly, photos not allowed). All the walls inside are covered with beautiful and huge drawings of Buddha's life and other legends from the Buddhist religion - you have to walk up a spiral ramp to see all the paintings up close.

Innovative creation of Sikkim Government

Opened for public in 2013, the park is nicely built at the hill slope in Ravangla with the statue of Lord Goutam Buddha of 130 ft high at its center. You must keep at least 2 hrs to see the park in details. Picturesque location attracts many tourists all over the year from the globe. A must visit place in Ravangla.

Enchanting Buddha

A place that anybody would like to be at any point of time. You need to buy tickets (Rs. 50/person) before entering the location. This is a holy location with enchanting rhymes of Lord Buddha playing in the background. The place is very well maintained and the tired place is clean and tidy. You have to walk downhill by stairs to get closer to the statue. Walking up the stairs would be tiring. But I would not like to miss seeing such huge statue of Lord Buddha just for not getting.

Well-organised and well-planned Park

If you are lucky enough you will find Kanchenjunga as a background of the magnificent Buddha Statue. Art work based on the life of Lord Buddha inside the temple wall is awesome. Please ensure you have some time (at least 1 hour) in your hand. The Park is developed by Japanese. It is a well-organised and planned one. You can take a eco friendly Car to take a tour of the Park.

The scenic Buddha

This park remains a little filled with the tourists visiting this place. The enormous statue of Buddha with the mountains bordering the landscape is really feast to the camera and eyes. Spending sometime here is really fun as you can loiter around the park!

A Must Visit

Though the park is a bit congested, well you can spend a day here. The statue will look magnificent in the backdrop of Maenam Hill. Inside you can have a glimpse of various religious activities.

Very peaceful and holy place

Best temple I have ever visited in India. Must visit place of the whole Sikkim Tour. Very peaceful place, instead of wasting time in visiting popular places, one should visit this temple for the happiness of inner soul.
