Name Personified

As the name suggests, its very tall and beautifully built. A structure to look at, praise and clicks some good pictures. The steps that lead to buland darwaza are well built and you get a good view of the city standing at the edge of it. You would be lucky if you can see the sun set.

Gate Of Victory

Buland Darwaza is one of the most renowned tourist attractions of Fatehpur Sikri. It is the heritage city of India. It also being addressed as the Gate of Victory. It's being said that the gate was built to celebrate the victory of the emperor Akbar. The location of Fatehpur Sikri and Buland Darwaza are same. It is said to be the highest gate in the world. Overall a spectacular experience.

Majestic monument

The monument is majestic with good architecture and intricate design. It's made of red sandstone and decorated with white and black marble. You can rest here on the steps. Villagers sells here and is quite cheap.

Must visit

This was so huge that I could able to capture. Need to take picture from remote location. Can visit Salim Chisti Dargah. Beware of fake guides. Best is get details from google before visiting no need of guide etc. Best time to visit is around the year but avoid peak summer.

The tall and strong gateway

It is an iconic symbol of Mughal rule in India, we are acquainted with the picture since our school days. At the very first sight it evokes an awe to the viewer. The fortified entrance to the fort, it was a great architectural feat judged by the contemporary standard in the 16th century. People/visitors will no doubt look up and bow their heads before this gigantic entrance to the Fatehpur Sikri.

Visiting Buland Darwaza is living history at its best

The grand red stone building of Bulan Darwaza is the brilliant craftsmanship example of the Mughal architecture. The building is well maintained, each of its nook and corner has stories embedded in it, you have to put your ears to the walls to hear it.

Great architecture

It is located Fatehpur Sikri in Agra and was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar after his victory, it opens from morning to evening. Buland Darwaza is biggest and strongest door in India. I visited the place by a hired taxi with my family and enjoyed the architecture. Do not forget to visit the Darwaza if you go Agra.
