A world class Textile Museum

We have taken advance permission as instant entry is not allowed. Previously museum was at Calico Mill and was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru but now it is here since many years. We have been allotted a guide to explain. There are Nine big halls where there specimens of historical 17th and 18th Century are exhibited. The collection consist of Wall panel, Curtain, Bed sheet, Shirts with Golden Embroidery, Carpets, Tents, Patola of Patan, Kashmir shawls and Blankets, Gujarati Bandhani and more than your imagine. A world-class textile Museum. Please come here WITHOUT precious belonging as they are neither allowing or providing lockers. A nice place to visit with prior permission.

Amazing Museum With an Arty Appeal

It is a type of a place that showcases our ancient textile, printing industry and various other ancient pichhvais and panch dhatu idols. Museum building is surrounded by lots of of greenery, big trees and beautiful plants. This makes the place cool and calm. Souvenir shopping can be done through online purchase only. You have to take prior appointment to visit the museum. Summers are very hot in Ahmadabad, it is advisable to visit during the morning hours. You have to hand over your mobiles and cameras at security office. Once you enter the museum no exit is allowed in between the tour.
