Camels Back

It is actually a road which leads to a mountain which looks alike a camel. As we were staying at a hotel on the mall road (reviewed separately) we were able to walk through this road completely. We started from the office and went to taxi stand all the way walking, enjoying and feeling the freshness of nature. There's a view point also from where you can see kedarnath and other mountains through telescope. Food is available at the view point and near a temple.

Visit the place in the evening

I was staying in this area and had average hotel but the road is very good in the evening to walk and have fast food, although it's double the charge you pay in any other location but still worth it. Interesting thing I found there is baby trolley available for rent so if you have small babies you get trolley with the little kid who will push your babies while you may take photograph, eat food and window shopping.

Camel's back is Mussoories backbone

Camel's back in mussoorie is the best place for the morning walkers, this place leads to kulri from library chowk, a stretch of three kilometers, this side is back bone of Mussoorie, many ashrams are here only, nirankari bhawan and kripalu jis ashram are here.

A walk to remember!

Was staying in Hotel Mall Palace and had read a lot about this attraction. So we left the room just around sunset and started walking but what we did not anticipate was the distance. Its roughly 3-3.5 km from one end of camels back road to another. Though we were not able to enjoy the view, what we did enjoy was the quiet long walk away from the city chaos. At some places you wont find anything but strange noises from animals and birds, which made the walk more memorable. So, just put on your shoes and go walking on this road and enjoy the quietness.

Excellent view

You must see how rock formed to get a share of Camel's Back. Take a Binocular to see it and some other surrounding spots. If you are staying on Mall Road - you can take a stroll to reach the place instead of taking a rickshaw.

A lovely scenery on the road

This is 3 Km long road starting from Library Point to Kurli Bazaar. Due to presence of natural lay out of rocks shaped like a Camel Hump at the end of the road, the road is called Camel's Back Road. Local people as well as tourist like jogging/walking in evening/morning. An amazing view of nature at doon valley. You can see sunrise/sunset from this road. We walked on the road in the evening. A memorable walking. Do try.

A walk up the mountains

This road is an alternative if you are already tired of your stroll down the Mall Road. An easy and fulfilling option for an evening or morning walk in the laps of nature where you will encounter the locals.
