It was very nice experience. The place is very royal. The owners are very co-operative and nice people. The property seems to be old but the service and overall staying experience is a holiday in itself The resort has an amazing dining room like the one you see in royal palaces. There's library cum Reading area which has some vintage editions of some of the famous magazines The rooms are warm and very spacious. Well carpeted and truly luxurious. You can get a good bargain if you speak to the owners directly The restaurant is multi cuisine serving nice fish and non vegetarian dishes. Continental is a speciality.
Nice location, large in size, based on the reviews on the internet we chose this property to live in. The heritage building, nice surrounding, stunning view from the room. Very well maintained rooms with the classical interior, food was over the top and staff was excellent and ever ready to assist. I mean this is probably best summer trip we have had. Lovely, wish we could stay for longer. Recommended.
Stayed at the hotel in the month of May on a family tour. Though the traffic is painful in the city, this hotel is a gem. Though slightly costly for the rooms. Overall experience is worth. The dining hall is big and offer insight into the owners family. Rooms are huge. The best part I found was a big playground in front. This was a perfect retreat. Above everything my nephew loved it.
What can I say about the Hotel? It's a Victorian style hotel spread in 4 acres according to the hotel owner. It's not more than 1 Acre. According to the owner Ms. Anu Singh the hotel has a lush green garden. All I could see was grass, construction material and some dried out plants. The Mascot of the hotel is a St. Bernard dog. But all I could see there was a street dog sitting in the centre of the garden The hotel rooms are no way to be claimed as a normal room. Even my store room is much cleaner than their deluxe room. Spider web, fungus on the so called paintings, torn carpet were the main attraction. How can I forget the broken chairs and a sleazy sofa set which were pathetic to the core. A welcome bouquet no more than some dried and broken flower stems and some leaves. The Food WOW! It felt like I am ordering from a five star hotel. By looking at the quality of the room and the surrounding I didn't feel like ordering from the hotel The room service was pathetic. I literally had to walk to the hotel reception to ask them to connect the intercom 2 times. The television was not working which was later replaced by pathetic TV with no sound. Room Heater was also there but on Chargeable basis Rs 250 per night. Wow! I can get the same kind of heater from the local market at a much cheaper price. The bedding was simply amazing. I was feeling that I'm sleeping on bed of rocks. The twin bed was joined together. One part was taller than the other. The floor was much more comfortable than the bed I had planned the hotel for 2 nights but after seeing the service of the hotel I decided to check out the next morning. I told the manager about all the things. He in-fact had a word with the owner who didn't even had the guts to call me back and apologize for the worst service ever given to me. Thank god I didn't pay for the hotel in advance. Overall the hotel described on their website and by the town I felt like I was given crap. My suggestions before going to this hotel don't call the owner. She will only give the best picture and once you see it you will be heartbroken
Setting of a Palace on the hills surrounded by forests...having breakfast on the porch with the view of the snow capped mountains..priceless
