The temple of Chamunda Devi is located 10 km west of Palampur, on the Baner River. The sacred site is called Chamunda Nandik-eshwar. The temple enshrines an enraged form of Durga, which is entirely hidden beneath a red cloth. The walls of the temple are adorned with scenes from Ramayana, Mahabharata and Devi Mahatma. On either side of the deity, images of Hanuman and Bhairo are sited.

Holy temple

We some friends visited to Dharamshala and saw some shakti peeth in Kangra distt. Mata Chamunda Temple one of the shakti peeth, temple is historical and 1000 year old approx. We also took prasad which is distributed by temple staff and also took mata's darshan and blessing.

Very old temple

It is one of shakti peeth, there are Chamunda Maa is seated and give blessings to all people. This temple is very old and all ages group can go there to pray.

Awesome religious place

Jai Mata Di, awesome religious place with fun (take bath is in Ganges flowing backside of the temple). Have light snacks & enjoy the trip, time in temple takes around 1-2 hours.

Feel blessed to visit here

First of all I want to say I love Kangara a beautiful place. It is very cold place visited here in month of June but the temperature here in Kangra is so cool at that time so recommend visit this during this time. The temple is a very old Chamunda temple very beautiful temple you will definitely feel blessed by coming here, so please visit this place.
