Chaurasi Temple is among the major attractions of Chamba, built in a Shikara style. The shrine was constructed by Raja Sahil Varman in the memory of his daughter Champavati. Champavati was worshipped as a goddess in Chamba.

The shrine houses a sculpture of Goddess Mahishasuramardini (Durga), which is worshipped in this temple. The notable feature of the temple is the wood and metal craft along with a large wheel roof, identical to the one at Laxmi Narayan Temple.

Popular for its stone carvings, the temple is situated close to the Police Post and Treasury building, which can be accessed easily from any part of the city.
