Chingaara resort is a treat in itself. The wonderful location, the serene ambience, the unique rooms makes one submerge within the raw beauty of nature. Located some 25Km away from Madikeri, our package of surprise started right from the point when we had to abandon our car for the pick-up jeep sent by the hotel. The journey to the hotel is quite a steep one and in the end you are welcomed by the lovely cottage like structure. The unique things about the rooms in Chingaara is the structure of the rooms. The rooms where we stayed are quite storied. The upper part has two beds to accommodate 2 people whereas the actual room has a doubled room. The rooms are quite spacious with four large windows to offer you the outside view . The resort is said to have a few trekking routes which we could not explore. But we checked the (private? Falls nearby which was quite impressive. But the walk down to the falls and up is to be traded carefully. There is a badminton court, a carom board and plenty of places to relax and chat at your leisure . The food is average to be frank, but that gets compensated by the friendly and hospitable hosts at the hotel, which includes two most wellhead dogs. Mobile network was good as well . Chingaara is surely worth a visit for all nature lovers.
Chingaara is just like a home away from home, such is its charm. You are completely at ease here and the food is just like home made. The wonderful service and Mr. Sharath is top notch, definitely recommended for a relaxing stay. The rooms were clean and basic in sync with the environs. The restaurant is large. They arranged a nice campfire and if you have a clear sky then the entire galaxy is visible and it is quite a sight to behold. Tamara Coorg a star rated property is just next door which may be visited by the thrifty. DO not try to take your vehicles there as the last 2 kms is very steep and rocky, Chingaara sends their 4 wheel drive jeeps to pick you up and drop you.
Everything was excellent in the hotel. The food and drinks were available in the hotel was good. The activities were not available in the hotel. The room price was reasonable in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers.
Nice estate with their own activities. The most important is food for any home stay, specially Coorg like place. And it was delicious here. Nice small but clean room. Nice big common varanda on 1st floor. Simple tracking in their own estate till top is also good to enjoy. Very near to Chingara waterfall. Good - small nice fall, you can't do much as such their but, it was good. Nice green area. Staff is humble and helpful. They have got car parking down the hill and then their own jeep picks you up as only that can drive till top. It is their family estate on that hill. In fact the whole hill is owned by them
Located in a serene location, this place is all Bangalore stressed out fellow craving for. In the midst of Western Ghat, this has green cover all over. You can do a small trek to Thadiyandamol from here. Remember to carry your leach socks if travelling on rainy season.
Last February we were at Chingaara, this trip was just amazing, perfectly located and the best part was the jeep drive from bus stop to the cottage it was so adventurous. They exclusively have waterfall in the property we just had the best time there and the staff was so helpful, the cottage owner Mr. Sharath was so down to earth and very helpful in making our trip a memorable one. We also had a ride in jeep to the view point, the food was so authentic and rooms were also very good on total the best trip ever.
The hotel is located conveniently and didn't face any difficulties finding the hotel. The appearance of the hotel was very good and services provided by them were good. The staff members were cooperative and truly professional. There were indoor and outdoor games too. The room allotted to me was spacious with all the comforts. The food was excellent in taste and quality with lots of varieties. The hotel did not delay in check-in or check-out, it was done politely. The hotel is worth for the money.
Had an amazing experience at the guest house, which is surrounded by forest. Service was excellent, had lot of activities to do, sports like badminton etc. Food was yummy and delicious, rooms were clean and maintained. People working there were friendly and helpful to us. I would definitely recommend it for family.
It was the nice hotel very good location of hotel. Hotel service was very good and food quality was very good. Loved the stay at Hotel. Service was really nice. Everything else was just great. Staff helped extra mile. I would love to go back and stay there again. Best value for your buck.
If you are looking to spend time amongst the nature and tranquillity, Chingaara is the place. The cottage was beautifully structured with ample of open space to relax and watch the beautiful nature from the common terrace/open area. Even the rooms were quite spacious and exactly resemble the one show in the images on their private website. The food was little overrated as they serve simple coorgi meal and breakfast. It could have been little cheaper. The only drawback was the steep roads which you need to hike up and down if you would like to visit the nearby waterfall or visit the surrounding estate. It can be tough for old people or people with poor stamina. Overall, this place was excellent and I would definitely love to visit once again.
