Constantia is an educational institution that consists of two schools on different campuses for boys and girls. In 1845, with an endowment from the wealthy 18th-century Frenchman, Major-General Claude Martin (1735–1800), the La Martiniere Boys' College was established. Located on the banks of River Gomti, the school started its first batch in the year 1845.

Now known as La Martiniere School, it was built in the 18th century. It was awarded with the laurel colours from the imperial rulers, owing to its role in the 1857 Revolt.

The tomb of the Frenchman, Major-General Claude Martin is also located within the premises of the school. Previously his home, the school has its walls adorned with mythological and animal figures.

      Constantia

      One of the historical landmarks of Lucknow with its English past, the La Martinere School started in 1845. It houses the tomb of French General Claude Martin as he resided there.
