My stay at Ferns Courtyard was for a very brief period of one day, during my visit to Ganapatipule temple. Welcome of the guest at the hotel impresses you at the beginning itself. Amenities offered were excellent, pool was the most enjoyable as my visit was during the peak summer Have a car wash facility, keeps your car washed and ready early in the morning. Room was superb clean and the view at night from the room gallery overlooking the pool too good in the lighting that the Hotel staff had done. The complementary breakfast was very good; the staff also offered dishes made to your requirement on request, most honest & polite staff, Since I was on a tour with my family (Me, wife & two kids below five yrs age) in my car I carried with me my induction plate & two utensils as in case of emergency it might be required for boiling my youngest kid feeding bottle. But while checking-out of the hotel (my last destination of eight day tour) we forgot to carry back the induction plate. On reaching home back to Goa when we realized this, we called them to inform about the incident, also mail was sent them so as to be on record To this they immediately responded saying that they will check with the house keeping staff and if found will courier back the item. They suggested to mail the address to which courier has to be sent. Same was done and we informed them to courier the items on to pay basis. We had almost lost hope as even after three to four days no reply from them. But on the 5th day I got a mail of the courier dispatch details and the item was sent by paying all the charges, hats off to the customer service. They have won me as a permanent customer, as I have decided hence forth I will stay only at the hotels owned by Ferns Court yard if possible. I also suggest other readers to make an attempt to stay at hotels owned by Ferns Court yard if possible to get a taste of their service. Note that this was my personal experience; it may vary from person to person. Good luck to the fern courtyard staff & other service providers keep it up
We had visited Ganapatipule in the month of October, 2014 during Dusshera and were a group of 3 couples with each having 1 kid along. It was a 3 days stay that we booked at the Fern Courtyard Resort which is almost 1. 5-2 km away from the temple and not exactly near as they claim to be. Any ways we had our own cars so not much of an issue for us. The hotel is a nice property overall with very good rooms, great food and a number of activities to keep the kids busy along with adults The swimming pool was very good and clean. We had a great time playing in the pool. The resort had a make-shift spa facility and the massage experience was also okay but, very expensive. We were told the actual spa facility was being built and hence it was a makeshift arrangement The breakfast was decent enough but, always falling short of some of the food items and the service was absolutely very slow (borderline pathetic). The hall where the breakfast was served didn't had AC at all as it was an eco-sensitive resort and there was shortage of fans too. It was very sweaty and uncomfortable to have food there. Although, the ala-carte section was different from where we had breakfast and that strangely had AC. Nonetheless, the food was awesome to taste and we forgot all the inconvenience we had during the morning breakfast As we were travelling with little kids, we had requested much in advance and also upon arrival as well for cribs to be placed in our rooms. However despite multiple assurances and during the entire 3 day stay we never received the cribs, that was a big let down to be honest Overall, it was just about a decent experience as far as stay was concerned - but a beautiful one due to our visit to Ganapatipule Temple and Beach.
We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at fern courtyard. The hospitality we got was really appreciable. Just 2 kms from the Ganpatipule temple and beach, it was a lovely place to stay. The swimming pool with the lovely flowering trees at its hills was truly the best thing about it. After visiting the beautiful beaches of this area, the swimming pool was just what I wanted to jump into. We spent our days at the hot sweltering beaches and evenings in the pool playing ball . . Amenities are good and rooms with balcony are spacious with all toiletries available. The bathrooms are tiny but well stocked. This was a trip with my Family and we really enjoyed this long stay & drive from Bangalore to Ganapatipule. A special mention of Mr. Ramnik Sandhu(GM) as he was a great host during our stay. I am a regular customer of Fern Hotels in their various locations so all the arrangements for my family was made as per our request
This is one of the good hotels in Ganpatipule. We stayed here for 2 nights and the place is very beautiful and scenic. The hotel is maintained and has good and neat rooms. The swimming pool is very well-maintained, though small in size. They have a spa which offers very good ayurvedic massages. The hotel needs to definitely improve on the breakfast options and can provide better variety.
Had a relaxing stay at the resort with elegant and comfortable room, excellent pool and spa facilities. Pool side was open 24x7 for people to sit around and relax ( except for the hourly maintenance in the afternoon). Located 2km uphill from the main beach. One can walk down to the beach for a morning walk. Service was prompt and staff was very friendly. We didn't travel with our personal vehicle, the staff arranged for an auto each time we wanted to go out of the resort However, I felt that the property is small for a 5 star resort. They had only one restaurant. The activity room though nicely maintained was quite small, options for children playing area and other indoor games were also limited. WiFi didn't work throughout our stay Very few rooms on the ground floor have pool view. Rest all have garden view. All rooms on first floor have pool+valley view.
