I stayed here for some days, with several checks in and out, along with a group. The position and the room conditions (how airy and spacious! Were excellent . . I got accommodated in different rooms at different times, and was able to observe several rooms in both 2nd and 3rd floors. Unluckily, on my first arrival on 19. 10. 2013, I and my wife got trapped in Room No. 112 as the lock got jammed, and refused to let the door open. The hotel stuff at once entered the room through a window, broke the lock to give way to us, and soon got the lock changed. The speedy service was remarkable. TVs in some rooms did not work well, and needed to be looked after. Also, the kitchen menu should have not been more or less the same every day. Particularly, the afternoon snacks lacked varieties. Another important thing! A good part of the boarders over here are tourists. They expect tourist information from you. But, your reception desk could furnish almost nothing. A hotel at the heart of Port Blair should be equipped with tourist information, including the bus and sail schedules. It is not good for you to direct your boarders to travel agents. I am quite happy with this hotel, and must not think of another hotel to stay at as I go to Port Blair the next time.
The experience at this hotel was good. The location of this hotel was convenient and I didn't find any difficulties. The external appearance of hotel was not satisfied but the interior part of the hotel was good. The staff members at the hotel were mannered and co-operative. The room allotted to me was very spacious with all the required amenities in proper working condition. The food quality at the hotel was excellent in taste. There were no refreshing activities provided by the hotel. There was no delay in check-in or check-out procedure. The money which I spent on this hotel was reasonable. I like to recommend this hotel for other travellers.
The hotel is conveniently located in the city and did not face any difficulty in finding the hotel. It was surrounded by shopping mall and temple and was seaport and airport. The staff were fine and the stay was expensive and the room was congested with neat pillow and blankets but AC was in old form in working condition. I had vegetarian food outside as the non-vegetarian food was available in the hotel. There was no delay in check-in and check-out and no sightseeing facility, it was religious visit with friends and suggests in changing AC and would recommend other travellers.
First I checked in this Hotel on 03 November 2013, then left for Cambel Bay on 04. 11. 2013 and then again checked in on 08. 2013. 09. 2013 I went to Diglipur and Rangat and again come back on 10. 2013 and stayed in this Hotel till 13. Except 09. The Hotel has given me good rooms. When I wanted to vacate on 13. 2013 at around 10. 30 AM, the Hotel people said initially no problem, but later when a few more tourists came in they have urged me to vacate and they were after me There is good reception. Ambience is not attractive. We have to go through narrow stairs. 24 hours check out should be made compulsory as against 9. 00 A. M. Restaurant is good, but due to less staff position, service is slow. Some rooms near to restaurant is not good due to bad smell. It is in the Bazaar area which gives easy access to all facilities. Bus Stand is about half a Kilometer. Airport is about 3 Kilometers TV and cable options are available. Broad cast through Cable on most popular languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Hindi and English. Power cut is not seen Since hotels are limited in Port Blair, that media tariff hotel like this, I advise advance booking in Hotels at Portblair. It is very important to book in advance during Tourist months Hotel is providing Towel and Soap. It will be good if the hotel is providing Shampoo also. It will be very good if they provide a complimentary breakfast.
