Serene landscapes of Dhanaulti.

Dhanaulti is a hill station 24 km from the popular hill station of Mussoorie. ECO-Park is the main attraction of Dhanaulti. It has been developed recently by the Forest Department of Uttarakhand with the help of local youth. It has a protected patch of small forest containing Deodar Trees. There is an entry fee of Rs 20.The adventure sports facility is available for visitors in the form of flying fox. There is also a facility for visitors to plant a sapling of tree species in the memory of their beloved, which is called as memory sapling plantation. Eco-huts are there for the tourists to enjoy serene landscapes of Dhanaulti.

The park is fabulous and well maintained

Reaching Dhanaulti by your own vehicle or you hire a taxi from the taxi stand at Picture palace or you could take a bus( sometimes they are irregular owing to the buses going away on private trips for marriages or other functions) the fare is around 35 per person, this bus leaves from clock tower in London Bazaar just below Jain Regency resort and also please check on the return trip. The staff of the bus service is very helpful. The Eco Garden, there are two but of similar size and facilities, there are lot of places to sit, relax and playthings for children. Food is not available inside, bathrooms are there but need to be kept clean, surprisingly we found running water in the taps. Outside on the road there are eating joints serving snacks and one could pick up various juices like mint, rhododendron syrup, lychee syrups etc. The atmosphere and surrounding inside the park is fabulous and well maintained. There is another source of travel to Dhanaulti, you could take a Jeep from Landour Bazaar.

Such a beautiful garden. So peaceful it's was. The best part was that we could see the himalayan ranges from that place. Its was really an awesome place to visit. If in future I visited Dhanaulti I would definitely visit eco garden again.
