Peace and beauty away from the city

Perfect weekend getaway from Mumbai, around 180 km on National highway-17(Mumbai-Goa) highway, this destination can be described as virgin beach and people searching for peace would love this place. Long coastal road along with coconut tree gives you a mesmerising feel, it is one of the cleanest and most lonely beach I have ever visited. Awesome homemade seafood and authentic Maharashtrian food available everywhere in the area at affordable rates. A beautiful Ganesh temple made up of red stone is also situated in the town one cannot afford to miss. The areca nut tree are available in plenty and one should try fresh arenca provided by tribals. A complete day is sufficient for the place if you want to explore, but one can easily spend 2 days if want to relax and enjoy the nature.

Good seafood available

Very good tourist place near Mumbai and Pune, with a beautiful beach, and typical konkani food, especially seafood, which attracts a lot, and it is also very cheaper then Goa.

Dirty place

We went there with lots of hope as we were dissatisfied with Shrivardhan Beaches, but sadly same situation was there too. Black sandy, dirty beach, with no water or toilets nearby.
