Healing place

It is built with rough stone wall. It's a quite old building as Baba always said not to refurnish the mosque although gradually some repair has been done. Free access to the mosque. Dwarkamai is one of the treasure of Shirdi with powerful atmosphere. People will pray before the Duni. It is said that Baba was healing people in this mosque. Baba was found of light and lamps, to this day lamps are burnt continually in Dwarkamai. Mosque was open not only opened to all caste but for untouchable and no caste people also. Baba distributed Udi (ash power) to people, now also it's followed there. Udi is available in small packets from a small booth outside the Samadhi Mandir.

Just behind Samadhi Mandir

Dwarkamai Masjid is just behind the main Shri Sai Baba Samadhi mandir. Majority of devotees visit this place after taking darshan of Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple. This is the place where Shri Sai Baba use to take rest.

Grand place with historical importance

This place has its own historical importance of baba's life with his entourage. The place is a little bit crowded and we felt a little bit uneasy to see all the things inside due to pushings.

Have a visit

A definitely visit. Sai Baba used to stay here. Your trip to Shirdi is incomplete if you do not visit this place. The experience of the temple is soothing, peaceful and full of positive vibes. You just cannot explain in words, you feel the value of it when you yourself visit it.

Shows the life part of Sai Baba

Dwarkamai is located near to gate no.4 of the Samadhi Mandir. This is the place where Sai baba used to live and here he started the Akhand Dhuni which is still present over here. It is the ashes of this Dhuni which is distributed among devotees known as Udi. There is also the stone on which Baba used to sit and the grinding mill which baba used for grind wheat to flour.

Not to miss, crowded on Thursday

Do not miss it, reachable from gate 2, inside the main temple it was complex, queues very small. You can feel Baba's presence here as well around the corner from Main Hanuman temple. Pilgrims are given Prasad after 6pm, busiest on Thursdays and weekends. Many places nearby to buy religious gifts but do bargain hard!
