Located in Kerala at a distance of 15 km from Munnar, Eravikulam National Park is spread over an expanse of 97 sq. km in the Rajamalai Hills and is a sanctuary to some rare and endangered species of flora and fauna. The park, which was a game reserve until the early 1970s, was established as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1975 and given the status of a National park in the year 1978.
