Nice experience

The temple is nice, as we went during Rath Yatra, so could not go inside the temple. But getting a glimpse of Lord Jagannath in his Rath, touching the Rath near the temple among Lakhs of visitors and such large crowd was really a life-time experience. The temple looks beautiful from outside.

Very beautiful temple, filled with people during festival

It is temple of Goddess Gundicha, maternal aunt of Lord Jagannath. I had visited this holy place during Cart festival of Lord Shri Jagannath, known as 'Rath Yatra'. Lord Jagannath visit to his aunts house for a period of 10 days. Gundicha temple is then crowded with millions of peoples. This process has been continuing from many years and is organised every year. Gundicha temple is a temple of fine art and with Rath Yatra it becomes more beautiful and Sacred. Every place inside the temple is filled with peoples.I had to keep my shoe in a shoe stand, and my mobile phone and leather accessories in the same stand as these items are not allowed inside. There were prasad sold inside the temple. The prasad is called 'Abhada', it is a meal and is very delicious. There were some dry prasad's sold called 'poda pitha, Malpua, Rabadi etc. I bought some of them for my friends and family.I suggest one should visit this temple and see how divine it is. It will be more good if one visit during the Cart festival. It is very near to the bus stand, or we can say it is just beside the bus stand. And about 500 mtrs from railway station.

Amazing visit to the holy temple

This is a place where Lord Jagannath along with Balbhadra and Subhadra live for some time and reach in Rath Yatra. Visit to this place during Rath Yatra has a special significance. Though it is very very crowd those days.

Gundicha temple

Beware of the pandas inside the temple. They are simply after money. If you do not pay them money, they will start cursing you.
