Good place to day hangout ...

One of the best place to visit families and kids. Well maintained and neatly arranged. We can spend this place around 2 to 3 hours. One problem is they don't have much parking space. We can see many jet models and air force jet. We can understand entire HAL history since early 1940 to still.

Pride of bangalore

One of the best museum showing the aircraft and its developments. It gives you the proper information about the HAL contribution in the development of the aircraft. It is the place where you would like go and stay for almost 2-3 hours. So that you can experience all ultimate feeling of being in the aero station. Its an awesome place to visit.

Great place for Kids and Family

The HAL Heritage Museum is a great place to spend a few hours with kids. They have exhibits documenting the history of aerospace in India as well as fighter planes and helicopters. They also have flight simulators - one for children and another for people above sixteen years. Both allow a pretty decent flying experience. The entry fee is only Rs. 30 (and another Rs. 10 for the simulator), making one wonder how they manage to maintain it so well for such low ticket prices.

The first one of its kind in India - Really great

Spread over 4 acres of land situated about 10 Kms from Bangalore town is HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum. There are two major halls, one displaying the photographs that chart the growth of aviation in each decade from 1940 till date and the other displays motorized cross section of models of aero engines, highlighting various functions of the engines. An Orchidarium, herbal garden, children's play area, a Souvenir shop and a sustainable development park are the added attractions in the campus.

Very exciting place

I visited this place recently to show it to my nephew. I was surprised to see the collection of aircraft and spacecraft they have maintained here. There are multiple sections showing evolution of Indian space and aviation industry for each decade. They have a simulator game also where you can get a feel of the place. Must visit for all.
