Best time to visit this temple is during the evening prayers

This Hanuman Temple is right on the corner of Naini Lake. There is a huge idol of lord Hanuman. The best time to visit the temple is during evening prayers. From the temple there is an opening into the lake where every evening people release lighted candles on paper boats into the water. Thousands of lights floating in water is a vision in itself. You can also buy prasad for the temple which is available in the nearby shops.

Mini Trekking

First of all it is located at the top of a mountain and the view from the top is too good. Secondly, from there a mini trekking adventure took us to Shitla Mata Mandir which was a quiet walk.

Careful of the monkeys

This is a very well maintained temple, except for a few monkeys who roam around. You should not carry food openly here (will be grabbed by the monkeys). There is a Sitala Mata Mandir that can be reached by foot only. Go only if you don't have any knee problems.
