Haridwar- a place of spiritual and commercial pursuit

Har ki Pauri, mansa devi, chandi devi, patanjali yogpeeth, daksheshwar mahadev mandir are some places that should interest you when you visit Haridwar. Take a dip in holy maa ganga at har ki Pauri to feel spirituality on the other hand visit Haridwar markets at moti bazar roads for some fashioned cheap jewellery, clothes, jackets. Food at road side like milk centres selling milk in earthen glasses. Road side pakodas, chat and of course who doesn't like parathas. Visit Haridwar to get diversified rich experience.

Serene experience!

Haridwar is a beautiful city thronged by religious and god praying people from all over India. Even people from many different countries come here to experience the religious fervour and enjoy the benefits of meditation .. The evening Aarti is attended by a large number of faithful people with tremendous enthusiasm. In the Indian month of Shravan number of large processions with images of various avatars of gods are taken out through the Haridwar streets which are seen and enjoyed by a large number of devotees.

Good experience

Best time to visit it is from 4 AM to 7 AM or 10 PM to 3 AM in summers (June). There is no clean toilets near har ki paudi, quite disappointing.Good experience bathing in ganges. Hari ki paudi is a very busy place to visit in day time. One can find parking while coming from Delhi or from Rishikesh. Try to park your vehicle as close to the ghats as possible to avoid walking (for elders). Parking is quite unorganized.

Awesome experience at one of the top religious places in India

Most people visit Haridwar to take a dip in Holy Ganga river, particularly in Har Ki Pauri area. The dip in itself has calming influence on you. In the evening there is Ganga Aarti by various priests, which in itself is different experience. The mantra chanting, the reflection of arti in Ganga, and the crowd, provides you an experience of a lifetime. People also go to Haridwar for visiting Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temple. Both are situated at the hilltop and one can go there by walking the hilly terrain or by ropeway facility. I had the pleasure of experiencing both on two different occasions/visits. Lots of Hotels and Dharamshalas are available throughout the year at reasonable rates for people of different income strata in the society. Food options are also available in plenty. Haridwar is also the place from where the Char Dham Yatra for Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath starts. Rishikesh is also near to Haridwar, where other famous temples and Lakshman Jhula is located. Rishikesh also attracts huge crowd.

This place in Uttarakhnad is the highly religious destination. With a large number of temples and the beautiful ghats, this place is really a nice one. Visit the temples here and spend sometime in the ghats watching the aarti.

Famous place

Haridwar is a famous historical place in Uttarakhand, India. Haridwar is regarded as one of the seven holiest places (Sapta Puri) to Hindus. The holy Ganga is flowing besides Haridwar Temple. It looks so beautiful during the aarti time on evening.
