Hariharapura Overview

Hariharapura Town is renowned for the two main temples, the Hari Temple and the Hara Temple. The Hara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is believed to have been built around 400 years ago, on the shores of the Tunga River.

The other major attraction of the town is an ancient bridge which is believed to have been around for more than 110 years. This bridge is constructed across the Tunga River and connects Hariharapura to Koppa.

Shankara Mutt at Sakatapuram.

Akshaya Tritiya was celebrated with rathothsava by the Head of the Mutt Sri Sri Shankaracharya and the full day celebrations were wonderful.

Nice Place for a Short Visit.

This is a holy place where there is temple for Lord Narasimha and is located next to River Tunga. This is a very small town.
