The good: Spacious villas with great privacy. The bad: As the retreat is so big, one needs to depend on Hilton's vehicles for conveyance. However, one is not always available on call . The reasonable: The food options are fairly decent and the resort has lots of activities which can be enjoyed
We stayed at the Hilton Shilim during the last long weekend of March and had a very lovely stay at the hotel. The Hilton Shilim is located a few kilometers from Lonavala and close to the edge of Pawna Lake. The views of the mountains are spectacular, really are. The best bit though is the luxurious rooms in this hotel. The white and black used in the hotel room provided great contrast, and we had a lovely view of the greens. The view of the mountains from the pool was amazing. I really loved the place, and the food was good too. Great resort close to Bombay!

I visited Pune for First time for my college, I was confused to stay, then I booked this hotel and as I entered in the morning I really got confused that weather I am on the earth or on the heaven, the hotel was not carrying a single dot of durt and the fregrance was amazing, the rooms were clean. Staff was very polite, my expirence was wow.
After a busy work schedule and stress, this is the place you need to come. Splendid, calm, tranquil, untouched. You may run out of words, but wont get tired admiring and praising the beauty of this place and the way how beautifully it is managed. You need to be good at driving as roads on the way to shillim is really bad. But once you reach there, you relax. The distance between the restaurant, spa, villas, pool etc is very far. So they have their own chauffeur driven cars(nano) to commute. The staff is very friendly and always eager to cater to our needs. The villas are very comfy and really well maintained. We went there in July and it was raining slightly throughout. It feels you are in the middle of no where, lost in admiring the beauty of nature. Too much to write, but short of words. Rest you need to experience yourself.
Hilton Shillim Resort and Spa is an excellent place for short relaxing trip. From booking till departure back it was an amazing experience. Entire team is very courteous and we had enjoyed a great hospitality there. Spacious Villas with personal pool were great and that is what kids enjoyed the most. Food was also delicious. Beautiful Scenery and terrain. During rainy season it would look fabulous. A must visit place.
It was unbelievable that at 2-3 hours from Bombay there exists a property like Hilton Shillim. It is 320 acres of trees and hills with amazing villas for staying. One of the most relaxing holiday breaks we have had. Rooms are large with an outside deck (forest view villa) and a four post bed. The yoga session and the meditation session (both are complimentary) were quite nice for beginners like us. While there is not much to do at the resort, it is ideal for a 2 day break wherein you can take a dip in the pool, do some cycling, short treks and some indoor games etc. You can indulge in the spa as well (though a bit pricey). Food is very good but again a bit expensive (no alternate choice either). The green table serves organic food, a fine dining experience. Staff is very helpful and polite and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Overall a property worth visiting for a weekend.
Stayed here for 2 days and a night with friends. Great place to distance yourself from the city completely. Pretty easily accessible by road from Mumbai. The place in itself is great. The villas are nice and cosy, and the hills make a scenic place to relax. Personally, took a bike form the reception and cycled for almost two hours after that on the hilly surface. Got tiring, but was worth the effort. The pool and the bar was great too. :0
I stayed here last week and resort is close to Mumbai. The location is very scenic and the villas are made very nicely. We need to travel via cars within the property. Service was nice, quick and prompt. Food was good and the price was very high compared to other resorts.
We went there as a group of 25 people on a company retreat. The property is basically spread over a mountain with individual bungalows housing 3-4 villas. The way to navigate around the place is to use the hotel provide the internal transport, ( tata Nanos) that you need to call from the room phone. Otherwise one can walk, but it is literally an uphill climb The rooms are exceptionally beautiful, with a beautiful view of the valley from the sit out. The bathroom is open to the sky and gives a feeling of being one with the nature. The food was okay, we had the buffet and though we asked for juices to be wondered a la chart, they never came. The spa is also very professional and rejuvenating and is a must try, if one goes to this place the hotel staff were very cooperative and pondered to all our requests Overall, an exceptional place for luxury if you are willing to pay the price :) In my opinion visiting this location in the monsoon would be the best.
