A tourist location to be proud of

5.6/7
Posted 8 Mar, 2018

One of the best places that I have visited as a tourist. Thronged by tourists from all part of the world it is a place that thrills artists, painters and connoisseurs. The charm of frescoe paintings reaches a pinnacle as one moves from one Haveli to another. The art of frescoe painting has been passed from one artist to another through several generations. Every Haveli is 150 - 200 years old with fantastic drawings. These are not only big attractions for tourists but also for celebrities, politicians and film makers The place boasts of a very attractive hotel with great ambience and wonderful services. I was well guided by Mr. Bhola Mandawa whose simplicity and understanding of the place was very appreciative It was hot in March. The desert is located nearby. Adventure through camel rides to nearby villages is very enjoyable. Enroute to mandawa you find 5-star villa and resort which is visited frequently by celebreties

Good hotel with excellent paintings on the walls

3.8/5
Posted 16 Feb, 2016

The main reason of choosing this hotel was to see the old and beautiful hand made ancient paintings on the walls of the hotel and also it was a budget hotel. We got two rooms for 4 in Rs. 1500 (900 and 600). We checked in at 3 pm, the room walls were fully covered with old paintings. We took some rest and ordered lunch, the hotel services was great. We ordered three dishes (matar paneer, Dale fry and gobhi masala) and all three were spicy and we liked everything, but matar paneer were awesome. Then they provided us guide to visit havelis. The walls were full of great ancient panting. Then we explored that place on our own for 2-3 hours and returned to our hotel for dinner. We ordered pulao, bajre ki Roti and malai kofta and chane, everything was fine, but very spicy however the Malai kofta was great. Then we get to bed and checked out from the hotel next morning to visit khetdi. Overall the experience was good at this hotel. Food and painted walls are its speciality I think.

Overall good hotel to stay

3.2/5
Posted 24 Aug, 2016

We stayed here one night. Hotel has good exterior as well as good interior, richly decorated both inside and outside with painted murals. The staff of this hotel was very friendly and helpful. Over room was good, everything was perfect in the room except for a bit noisy window AC unit. The best part of the hotel is the roof terrace where you can admire the city. Location of the hotel is fine. It's near to market place. Food taste are good but service still need improve. Overall good hotel.

A well-managed hotel

4.2/5
Posted 27 Feb, 2015

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely place. Beautifully decorated rooms in Rajasthan style, good location in relation to the city itself. The rooftop restaurant has a beautiful view of the city and the food is tasty. Management and staff are helpful and incredibly friendly, you feel at home here. It is being built a garden to the hotel, it's a really good idea. The place is highly recommended.

Good hotel to stay with friendly staff

3.7/5
Posted 30 Mar, 2015

We chose a room with air conditioning and a small discount. This is what we got and we were happy. The rooms are very pretty, we saw other rooms really well decorated and the owner is proud of the work made. They showed us a few rooms, it's nice to see an owner like him. The restaurant on the terrace is nice and the food is good. The service is carried out by some young friendly boys who are doing their best. We had a good night in this hotel. We slept well, the room was very clean, very quiet and very nice staff. Also the air conditioning worked well, except of course in a few short power outages.
