I traveled at night. So could avoid the Mysore road traffic. Just hate all the speed breakers. Lot of places to visit on this route. When driving/riding be careful of speed breakers and drive slow at all intersections. People, animals might come in front of the car and surprise you. So be very careful!
There are plenty of good places to have breakfast. We had our breakfast and boarded. The driver and conductor did not have breakfast and stopped at a highly smelly place. Otherwise it was scenic. The railway tract comes along for some distance reminding Darjeeling. Huge statues of Gods seen from the road. Hugh lawns of college campuses are worth for bus travel. You don't get to see them if you go by car.
On one side the river is flowing. Though there is stagnant water nearby the bank, there is flowing water few feet away. Rocks are there to take you there. I was there along with all our friends and their families for a picnic. The dinner at the lawns of amphitheatre was good. They had arranged...more »
