Actually at first I was riding so long. At beginning, I was little scared, but gradually scareness converted as confident to conquered. It was around 300 km was from Trivandrum to Munnar. And for sightseeing it was another 100 km. When we reached our home I crossed around 700 km. It was a nice experience.
We reached kochi at 4. 00 pm. Kochi to Munnar takes 3:30 hrs. We hired a car from agency. They sent very good driver. Journey was excellent, partly plains and partly hilly areas. There are some waterfalls, though we only able to see one. There was no daylight thereafter. We have enjoyed the journey.
Had a morning Air India flight from Delhi to Kerala with a connecting flight to Munnar. Was worried about the connection as I was flying Air India, but was the cheapest ticket flying out at that time and never flew on the Spice jet so decided to take the risk. Got to the airport 2 hours early but no one was servicing the Air India counter which really got me worried that the flight was delayed and I would miss my connecting flight. The check in counter finally opened 1 hour before the flight and was really slow, however they did manage to check everyone through and the flight did depart on time surprisingly. Flight was comfortable and impressed.
Being a Govt employee, I had to claim the expenses from the department, thus, there is no other option but to travel by Air India. However the journey performed by Air India was very nice. And enjoyed the journey. The services provided by the air hostess were also very good.
It was average. The driver did not cooperate well. He is always insisting on the places where the entry fees are more (may be he will get commission). Overall, it is not a good experience for us. We need to complain to the owners for him to take extra places even though we agreed to pay extra.
