I was travelling alone from Kochi to Pune via Coimbatore yesterday. And in the last minute Air India has cancelled the flight without any valid reasons and they told MMT that they were operational which is very disappointing . When I couldnít travel by this flight(since Air India has cancelled the flight), how can MMT ask me to write my experience on this journey which hasnít taken place . This was truly shocking behaviour from airlines. Please donít entertain these kind of flights where don't even think of customers. What they do is just loot money from the customers. I am very Disappointed with Air India . No guarantee in reaching destination on time . People wants to save time of journey when they opt of travelling by air. Waste of money, time and energy . And tired of talking to customer care. I spend around 17k to reach Pune.
I had booked a ticket from Cochin to Coimbatore last month. Affordable and convenient. They are clean, friendly, on time and organised. I would recommend them without question. Good and Well Groomed Drivers with hands on experience. Safe and reliable bus transporter with integrity.
I started the journey around 10 am and I was in my own car. I took the NH from Kochi to Coimbatore via Thrissur, Palghat. The road was okay but it was a terrible mess from Mannuthy to Palghat. The road was in a very bad condition and the traffic was hectic. But once passed Palghat, it was tireless. On the way we had tea from aryaas on the highway side at Palghat byepass. But the hotel was too expensive even though the quality was below par. So better to avoid that on travel.
We reached Coimbatore around 6 pm. It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel as we were new to the place. But since I had some grip on Tamil, I managed to find the spot. Once we reached the spot, we relaxed.
When I started from Coimbatore by bus, I did not know that the road trip can be so beautiful. The journey was comfortable, since it was an air-conditioned bus and the huge glass windows avoided any hindrance in enjoying the countryside view. try to book yourself a window seat; it makes it easier for you to click photographs.
The sight of wet roads, and trickling of rain droplets on the windows, during a pleasant evening (at 4 pm), added to the tranquility of my journey. When I saw a gray cloud-like formation near one of the hills, I initially mistook it for smoke arising out of burning of garbage. Later, when I realized, it was real fog clouds, I was thrilled!
Stay tuned to pleasant music and you would love this journey! Don't miss the sunset!
The bus seemed very old. On the way the bus dropped one of the passengers (an old lady) to a wrong destination and because of that the old lady suffered a lot. It was a very rude and cruel behavior on part of the bus driver and conductor. If it is a short trip, then I believe car is the ideal choice according to me; and for long distance travel it is better if you choose a train, avoid bus as much as possible.
