Mr. Sujoy Kumar Mukerji and Mrs. Topa Mukerji were booked on Indigo Flight 6E 994 from Kolkata to Bangalore and checked through on 6E 354 from Bangalore to Coimbatore on 7th June 2018. Flight 6E 994 from Kolkata departed over 2. 15 later than the ETD and as a result their connecting flight 6E 994 had departed by the time they arrived at Bangalore. These passengers who were checked through till Coimbatore therefore missed their connecting flight due to Indigo's incoming flight having departed late from Kolkata and arrived late at Bangalore and the passengers had no role to play in the same . Both passengers who are senior citizens with Mr. Mukerji close to 80 years of age had an very harrowing experience at Bangalore Airport once they arrived there around 8. 30 PM. Staff of Indigo Airlines (Ground Staff) were extremely casual and indifferent in dealing with their missed flight and there was no urgency shown by Indigo Staff at Bangalore Airport to make alternate arrangements for these passengers, to elevate their inconvenience and hardship they had already faced. They were eventually provided overnight accommodation at some ordinary hotel and they reached the hotel past 11 PM a good 2. 5 hours after their arrival at Bangalore airport . Numerous cases of Indigo Airlines extremely poor Customer Relationship and dealings have been highlighted in the press of late and the above is another indication that nothing means more to Indigo than their profits.
Air crews were very careless while handling the food yrolley, during flight. 6E345 . Which departs from Kolkata at 09. 30hrs. I was just sleeping in my side seat, while crew was moving with trolley. Due to lack of legbspace, my right leg was slightly came out into bay. Butdue to neglegency of crew, trollwy hit my knee and got massive pain and muzzle injury. The crew just simply say a half heatedly sorry and then move away . While I was in pain. I expect a pain killing spray . From the crew in such situation . Thank you . Vijaya Kumar K Nair
Indigo staff in Kolkata was harsh and not having discipline to answer. Following are the incidences happened . . 1) Bag drop Staff harsh:. When I went to Luggage drop they asked me for boarding pass. Generally boarding pass and Luggage are done together . But the staff there rejected and forced me to go for "self check-in" only else he will not allow for baggage drop . He also insulted in front of others since I have not done self check-in even though self check-in is not mandatory in most airlines. 2) Self check-in help staff also making sarcastic comments. I did self check-in when I mistypes 'S' as '5' and was trying to correct it . By that time the Indigo staff started commenting as though I don't know any thing about self checking and made sarcastic comment. 3) Worst Sarcastic Comment for the boarding point staff. The self check-in ticket showed the gate as 18 and after security check-in. Me and many others were waiting in gate 18. The flight gate got changed and was at gate 23. The announcement made in kolkatta airport is not audible at gate 18 and the message which was claimed to be sent by indigo never reached my phone. After a long time few Indigo Chennai passengers were around since indigo messed up their gate information also wrongly . Finally I checked the display and went to the gate 23. The Sad thing was there were 2 man and a women to work on the boarding request . I went and reconfirmed when one of the men VERY BADLY commented. "If these many passengers can come here what is stopping you to come". A) the flight gate change is indigo's issue. Be) the announcement not reaching gate 18 is not our mistake. C) trusting on message communication is indigo's issue. The) in between confusing Chennai passengers to reach gate 18 is indigo mess up. On top of all these mistakes they never even felt sorry. Even if not feeling sorry giving a harsh reply. Is very bad . Indigo has to teach discipline to kolkatta staff. 4) Air hostess mind only for people who has pre booked meals. Else they don't even care others even for water. You have to beg forcefully.
Unlike SpiceJet Indigo do not have a separate queue for web checked in pax with check-in baggage. You line up with the with other pax - a pain. They advertise for express baggage check out but advised this service was not available out of Coimbatore despite there being no change of aircraft at Chennai en route to Kolkata. SpiceJet was spot on with my baggage on the Priority basis with a change of aircraft at Chennai on the outward journey. For web checked in pax they had a sperate line to check-in their baggage. Altogether a far better experience on SpiceJet.
