I did not enjoy the flight to Kashmir much

5.50/7

Do not choose Jet Airways while going to Kashmir. They sometimes block the window and make it impossible for passengers to photograph the beauty of Kashmir from above. The in-flight food is quite good and you would also get some additional Jet Points for traveling if you are a member but then, the whole fun is marred when they shut their windows an hour or so before landing.

Good food & entertainment on board

Convenient timings, least stop-over time and of course cheapest pricing made us select Air India over everything else. However, cheapest need not be the worst and Air India continues to relentlessly prove this time and again. The food is good, good entertainment on board and very pleasant staff. Air India is the best way to fly in India, anytime! Hands down!

Boring if your alone, otherwise good facilities

6.00/7

The train was good but it was a very long journey. It takes almost 36 hours to reach Jammu from Mumbai. It is fun if you are travelling with a big family, cousins or friends. But if you travelling alone, I suggest you to take a flight. It is very very boring alone. Otherwise the facilities are good. The scenery during the journey is also amazing since the train travels through Punjab which is quite beautiful.

Experience of a lifetime!

4.00/7

We had booked well in advance but on the day of departure since due to heavy snowfall Srinagar airport was closed, the flight was cancelled. We were asked to take same flight two days after or choose any other destination. I opted for Delhi. On reaching Delhi I understood that some of the passengers even got next days Delhi-Srinagar boarding passes. They should have done this to everyone. We then went in sleeper coach to Jammu to understand that Srinagar highway is closed. Had to say at Jammu for 2 days. The highway was closed for three days hence lots of vehicles were stranded. On the fourth day traffic from Srinagar was released and we booked a Srinagar Tevera and booked it for INR 7000/- as rates had doubled due to jam.
