I have a Chevrolet's Spark 2008 Model. I feel very comfortable driving it specially log drives. It is much comfortable in driving as compare to cars in its categories like Maruti Wagonr (Which is economy as compare to mine). This is not first time I was travelling to Ujjain from Pune by my car from last 5 years I am doing this on Diwali and you know why the Bus fares are too high and train tickets are difficult to get, so I plan using my car during diwali.

I use to travel from Pune-Ahmednagar-Shirdi-Malegaon-Dhule-Sendhwa-Indore-Ujjain. But this time I took a bypass before Ahmednagar to Shirdi which save me almost 30 Km and 1/2 hour. The road is a little bad in condition at some places but still it is good to drive there. This time I got surprise at Shirdi the road near there was very excellent. From last 5 years I have seen the 50 KM patch, 25 KM before and after Shirdi was pathetic which use to cost me around 1 extra hour, which I saved this time. The second surprise this time there was no toll till Dhule in Maharashtra.

Once you take turn on Dhule road near flyover the next 370 KM you can drive at 130/140. Yes it is risky to drive that fast and you not suppose to but still you can on your life risk. The road now is 4 lane with lots of tolls first 120 then 55 then 86 than 85 lots of toll, but they are worth to pay for the drive.

While entering Indore, if you don't want to go inside the city its much better you take By pass form Row circle. If you follow the same road straight the traffic is horrible and road is not good I once tried that and it is a horrible experience that was last time I took that road. I always take Bypass now.

Bypass is good you can take turn from Khandwa road to enter in Indore city after 15-20 KM I think The bridge is under construction from last 2 years here. Take left turn here to enter Indore city. Go straight 10KM there is a big Circle (IT park there) take right from there (Kajaran Ganpati road). Don't take any turn until you reach Bombay hospital 15 KM around straight road you can see turn to Ujjain take left again.

Now days again I am not taking turn from Khandwa road there is lot of traffic here and I have to go Ujjain only. So from there don't take left turn and go straight you will cross to fly over and after second you will see a left turn take that almost 5 KM, take this left and after 3-4 KM you will see signal take right turn and again you will come to same Kajaran ganpati road and follow the same and take turn from Bombay hospital to Ujjain.

From here the road is straight to Arvindo Hospital from there again 4 lane road to Ujjain. My home is near Nanakheda Bus stand so to don't enter in City. The road I mentioned her is also good for people going to Rajasthan.

The people going to Rajasthan can take turn to Ratlam before Mow on Dhule-Indore road to Ratlam, there is 4 lane Highway Mandsaur-Nimach.
