ISKCON Tirupati OverviewRanked 6 of 54 sightseeing in Tirupati
Sri Sri Radha Govinda temple in Tirupati, established under ISKCON, is one of the largest ISKCON temples in southern India.
As in the case of all the other ISKCON temples, ISKCON Tirupati aims at spreading the science of Krishna consciousness with the aid of Bhagavad Gita and organises various activities where one can either participate or observe, thereby developing their Vedic knowledge.
This shrine is also dedicated to Lord Krishna and his beloved Sakhi, Sri Radha. The array of beautifully adorned deities includes that of Sri Radha Govinda and their Ashta Sakhis, Sri Narsimha, Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupad.
The best time to visit the temple is during festivals like Sri Krishnashtami, Guru Purnima, Sri Rama Navami, Narsimha Chaturdasi, and Holi. These festivals are celebrated with gaiety and the whole family can take part in the songs and dances.
The temple undertakes a project called Goseva in which it protects cows. The temple also provides free food to at least 1000 devotees every day.
This tranquil temple is situated in the city and autos and buses are easily available.
Tirupati being a temple town, there are numerous temples in the vicinity, the main temple being the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple which can be visited.

Known for its infrastructure and vastness
This temple is known for its infrastructure and vastness. ISKCON of Tirupati is different in every sense. The silence and feeling of harmony will grip you as soon as you enter into its premises. If you are lucky and on time you will find an altogether different experience when the curtains are opened wide inside the temple. Must go place and if possible visit during night so that you can enjoy the great lighting experience.
Must visit temple
I visited this temple once in a month as my visit will be regular to Tirupati and when " I visit Tirupati I compulsorily visit this Hare Rama Krishna temple". This temple was remoderned with new construction with huge model of temple. This temple has its own maintained "canteen for the devotees" in which whole varieties of modern food and ancient food is available for the devotees at reasonable prices in the temple itself. So I recommend everyone to "visit the temple as and though there is no entry ticket". The "prasadam is also so delicious in this temple".
Temple is awesome
The temple "new construction is so big" than the old one. And the temple "whole is well-maintained" and air conditioned. The best part of the temple activities are "Krishna bhajan, special aarti of evening, devotee songs of own composed ". The temple is well illuminated with colour lights around the temple and the parking area is well kept for the temple. And another must try aspect of the temple is "temple canteen" which is maintained well with not only "national varieties but also international varieties of vegetarian only!! " So I suggest every devotee to must visit this "Hare Rama Krishna Temple".
Best to visit in the evening to view its beauty
This temple is located in Tirupati and we visited this temple as during the visit to Tirumala. It is just 50kms away from the Tirumala. And this best viewed during the evening times as the temple will be illuminated with "focus lights on to the temple which is so beautiful and increases its beauty". During evening times aarati will be given to the god and "special bhajans will be conducted by the volunteers and devotees". Other superb item is the canteen with "international veg varieties" "maintained by the temple itself" is "so tasty food" that can ever get by outside food.
Must visit place
This place is located in Tirupati which is located just below the Tirumala Hill and it just takes 1hr to go this temple from Tirumala for the Tirumala visitors. And the best visit time of the temple is during evening time for the "special aarthi" and the "special lighting of the temple" in which the temple looks beautiful than in morning during evening. The main attraction of the temple is their own canteen which serves veg varieties for the visitors who wish to eat their and the food is also so tasty.I recommend everyone to visit this beautiful temple and don't miss the canteen taste when visited.
Visit at evening time to see the glory of temple
It is newly remodeled temple of Krishna by Iskcon society in Tirupati and the temple is so big in size and so beautiful than the old one. Inside the temple the architecture was of role gold coated. The dance will be performed by the devotees at the evening aarti time with songs of HARE KRISHNA. A book stall of Krishna's history and temple history was also sold inside for a reasonable price by society.
Good temple to visit in the early evening on Sunday
We went to the temple at the early evening on Sunday. And at that time it is very pleasant, the temple was too decorated with lights of sparkling ones and the temple was like a heaven view. We entered the temple it is very awesome to look at it. The temple was newly constructed in these days and it very much recommend everyone to visit one time, when in Tirupati.
Very pleasant place in Lotus shape
It is a very good place to visit to get peaceful mind. That too it is so near from Tirupati Bus stand, upto 3 km it is I think. Temple will be in Lotus shaped if seen from above.
Good to meditate on Lord Krishna
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, yes this words really moved me when during my Tirupati visit I got a chance to visit the temple. I was the part of the bhajans and dance which take place during evening. I was totally lost in Krishna in the Temple.
