Sangla isn't completely in the boonies. There are a handful of hotels and homestays here. So you don't have to stay in a camp unless you want the experience. The camp has everything you can expect in a tented accommodation - attached flush toilets, power outlets, carpeted floors, bottled water etc. The bed is quite comfortable so are the warm blankets that they supply. Food was delicious and was available per our timings. Just make sure you pre-order the meals in advance. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The view from the camp was quite good. Tariff was quite reasonable. Tents and the toilets were reasonably clean. Given that it is a campsite, it does get quite cold at nights. It is away from town and you need a vehicle to get here and around.
This would have been a great hotel since it was built well. This hotel is very much beautiful. I cannot explain you how much beautiful it is. It seems as if god has crafted with a lot of time in hand. This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever been.
The location of the hotel was very convenient and there was no problem to find the hotel. Staff were very well behaved and cooperative. Room was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. All the basic amenities like TV, Geyser were there in the room and all were working properly. There was the mountain and dam view from the room. It was medium hotel not so big. There was no delay during check-in and check-out. We had food in the hotel. There were no other activities were arranged by the hotel.
Disappointing and forgettable. Had been there 1st week of October 2012.A number of tents erected on a gently sloping land with very little space to move around. Surrounded by bare and rugged mountains, the view around is by no means spectacular.I had a booking for 2 nights, but not even partial refund was made on cancellation of the second day, though I was the only person around in this resort.I was told the confirmation e-mail claiming the rates were according to MAP was sent by mistake! Laughable, isn\'t it?
I had been to this place in August 2011 and it was one of the best place to stay in.Our whole tour was arranged by Mr.Tapan & Mr. Debasish who are both thorough gentlemen.I still remember the words of Mr.Debashish when you stay here, you go back in time.It was most exciting to stay tents with all basic facilities yet you enjoy each moment of it. Igloo camp are eco camps which situated amoung the mountains which makes you very close to the nature.Just loved our stay of 2 day and also whole trip of lahaul & Spiti arranged by them. All staff was like a family which made us feel like home.
Too good location , this was completely adventurous ,I was so in love with the place Since it was a new kind of experience .Overall at least once in life time such stays are required ,its takes into a different world.
