Kashmir ki kali tulip garden

Treat for your eyes, amazing colours, varieties of tulips, little bit hot during afternoon time, got good food for lunch, totally enjoyed. This garden has different colored tulips at one place. These tulips bloom only for certain duration from end of March to mid April and needs to be part of itinery. You can easily take a shared cab on Boulevard road up to the tiny bylane that goes up to the garden. It can be an enjoyable half day activity!

So many colors at one place

Door to this heaven opens in just 50 bucks. And once you enter inside, you realize that they should charge more. There are colors and flowers and landscape, I've seen nature at it's best but this is far more than that, you need to be there to feel it. You'll get to see everything in the month of April. Do not forget to carry your camera. Flowers follows wherever the eyes goes. A must visit place if you are in Srinagar. Other gardens are okay but do not forget to visit this one.

Flowers all around, only found in April month

The Tulip Garden opens in the 2nd week of April every year and provides a delightful experience watching Tulips all around the garden. Such huge collection of tulips is a rare view to find and we were lucky to witness the beauty of Tulips going to srinagar in the month of April.

A must visit spot

Tulip garden srinagar is the rare sight to witness that one can see only for a short time as the tulips are there from Feb end to mid April. Situated near chashme shahi garden; it's around 1.5 km from dal lake. There are different varieties of Tulips in various colours and variety. Surrounded by beautiful hills, the place looks like a painter's finest imagination and a poet's most romantic poetry. The entry ticket was for Rs 50/per person and There was provision of good food inside. The kashmiri music in the background adds charm to the place. In short, a must visit.

Gala event for a short period

Eventually we were there in Srinagar and the garden was open for us before scheduled date. So we were lucky enough to be there and experience such a burst of colours. Enumerable varieties of Tulips alongside carefully maintained species were good to see. The garden is beautifully managed and nice place to pass time with your family. I would suggest the travellers to check the date of opening of the garden before they plan for Srinagar.

The best Garden in India

There is a ticket but when you enter you will be mesmerised by its beauty. It opens only for a month approximately from mid of April to mid May. But at the end (May) it looks a little devoid of its flowers.

Colourful variety of Tulips in once sight

During spring Tulip festival held in Srinagar (Usually from 2nd weekend of April to end of April Month) you can't miss Tulip Garden. Everything amazing, beautiful colours which you can appreciate and take awesome pics.Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden is to be found at the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountains which are present on the banks of the Dal Lake, Srinagar. The garden is the most spacious one in Srinagar. Nearly 1. 3 million tulip bulbs comprising 70 varieties of various colors have been grown in the garden, the vast tulip garden overlooking the Dal Lake in the city. These flowers impart a mesmerizing ambience to this 90-acre tourist attraction in the Valley.Have the Tulip garden on 17 April 2014. Although the tulip season only just beginning, I was very impressed by the beautifully landscaped park. I have visited many botanical gardens, but when thus Tulip garden brags, "the most beautiful spring garden in the world after the Keukenhof - Amsterdam" to be, you can believe the well. The beds and apparently also the lawn every year completely redesigned and eingebuddelt in an unimaginable Sisyphean millions of bulbs in several layers. If you are lucky then you can also witness tulip festival organized during this period. Already bloomed crocuses, hyacinths, daffodils and tulips early. A frenzy of colors, shapes and fragrances. There are also shops to eat some snacks, but which are geared to their memory on offer rather than the average tourist interested Botany friend. Here you do not expect too much.Timing - Open at 9 AM , closing time (remains flexible) between 7 and 7. 30 PMTicket cost Adults INR 50. 00 (Approx 80 US Cents), Children under 12 yrs INR 20. 00 (Approx 32 Cents)Overall, the park is very nice, recommended for everyone especially for children.
