In November, we stayed here. It was a holiday trip. I was with my family when I stayed here. The hotel also had a nice location. It had public transportation facilities available near the hotel. The appearance of the hotel was very good. It was a beautiful hotel. The hotel had beach nearby. The front office was very good. They were very co-operative and caused no delay with check in or out. The service was very good. Room was decent. It had baloney. Room was spacious enough and had all working amenities. The food was not really good. They served a complimentary breakfast, which was not all good. It had a WiFi and was free of charge. The destination of the hotel was good. It was an online booking.
A place which had it all. Great food, nice cottages and some wonderful activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the Scuba course was incredible! Island Vinnie's is nicely located, and has a wonderful in-house cafe - Full Moon. Right on the beach, there's a lot of open space to relax and play some ball. Excellent instructors for Scuba and very hospitable staff.
The overall experience was excellent in the hotel. The room was excellent in the hotel. The behaviour of staff was very nice. There was no problem in check-in and check-out. I had visited this hotel with my wife. The food was fantastic in the hotel. The hotel had provided complimentary breakfast. The provided room was clean and spacious. The room facility was not provided in the hotel. I don't have any suggestion for this hotel.
I had visited this hotel for official trip. The destination of the hotel was excellent. The hotel location was very good. The service was good in this hotel. The activity was average in this hotel. I went to this hotel by my own vehicle. I had booked this room by online. There was no delay in check in and checkout in this hotel. The hotel was located nearby the railway station. The room was neat and clean in the hotel. All amenities were provided in working condition in the room. The food quality was good in this hotel. The vegetarian and non-vegetarian food was available in this hotel.
Before staying in Vincy Beach Resort at Colva beach, we did stay at Swimsea Beach Resort, Karanjali beach, Miramar near Panjim, Goa. Swimsea Beach Resort is having its own restaurant with room serving facility. The property is having its beautiful garden full of coconut trees, flowers all around, swimming pool with good maintenance and very cordial supportive staff. The beach is very calm and quiet at a distance of 100 metres. Food was good, especially breakfast was nice.
The Islands of Andaman and Nicobar itself are breathtaking and the travel to the Island of Havelock, located around 60 km away from Port Blair in the MV Makruzz, taking around 2. 5 hours through the calm blue waters of the Andaman Sea was fairly exciting. The stay at the hotel was average, but the place/location of the hotel was really a surreal experience, enough to last for a lifetime. A must visit place.
I stayed there in a standard hut. I went there for one, and I mean it, only one purpose, Scuba diving. So, I stayed in a standard hut to save a few bucks and use the saved money to do an extra course with Sai. The guys in dive India were super cool. And the standard hut has just everything that is needed for a backpacker and scuba diver.
A good place for divers -oldest place which discovers the dive sites in Havelock. Great staff. Great food. It's got comfortable tented Cabanas and backpackers accommodation for cheaper rates. It's not for you if you are looking for spacious rooms. No TV and a great view plus the unfriendly management make it a pleasure to stay in. One can interact with other divers and the dive instructors are experienced and good. Staff is very helpful. My son and I are definitely coming back here for diving and just lounging in the hammocks on the beach.
It was a very comfortable stay. They organize a sight trip. I would like to recommend this hotel to other travellers. I had beach view from the room. The room was very spacious and well maintained. It was a just a relaxing trip. The vehicle facility was provided whenever required. I did not find any difficulty in check-in and check-out procedure. I had food there and the quality and the quantity of the food was very delicious and tasty. The location of the hotel was convenient. The staff were good.
The hotel is at the entrance of Havelock. The location is not very good and convenient. Considering the location of the hotel, the appearance of the hotel is okay. The staff is friendly, helpful and they provide reasonably good services to the guests. The rooms are average, reasonably neat and maintained and all the amenities in them are in good working condition. The hotel has food provisions for the guests including Indian food but the quality and taste of it is average. The hotel does arrange for sightseeing facilities to see the beaches. The check-in and check-out is on time. Overall it is an average hotel.
In January 2014, our group of six from Delhi sought to escape the winter chill and embark on a trip to do something exceptional - Scuba diving! Little did we know that we were actually starting out on a trip to a whole new planet. As soon as we entered Island Vinnies, I was charmed by the row of dainty cottages on each side and the hammocks outside every cottage, a nice touch and not just for show - they really were so comfortable that once you got in, you never wanted to get out. But the real deal was that right in vision, right ahead, you could see the ocean! The beach was just right there, a stunning expanse of white sands, green ocean and blue skies . . We had rented a tented cabana, which was spacious and exotic, and also extremely comfortable. There was a double bed and a cupboard-rack, along with an attached toilet and a separated bathing area, which was very convenient. The nicest part about the resort was the Full Moon Cafe, which served great authentic Island food and was extremely accessible. Pancakes and seafood, especially calamari, were amazing here The resort has a tie-up with Dive India, which is perfect since you go Scuba Diving literally right from where you stay. The Scuba Diving trainers at Dive-India are both experienced and friendly, and make the experience of Scuba Diving an ethereal one. They also make sure you take away some knowledge of the Dive, like the names of the fish and identifying them. Diving proved to be a breathtaking experience (literally), but the other highlight of the trip was kayaking. To weave between the dense mangroves paddling a small kayak with only the ocean and the sun as companions makes you want to make it your way of life I would definitely recommend that you hire bikes on the Island, as these make it very easy to get around the island as auto-rickshaws are few and hard to get. It's also a good idea to go for at least one island party on Havelock, every night some resort has a gathering with live music and great food. Life on the Island is calm and a little unreal. Time slows down, and the expanses of beauty liberate you. Twilight time is almost zero, so in a matter of 5 minutes, sunny vistas transform into pitch darkness. It's a good idea to see the sunset on Beach No. 5 as well, and it's a good idea to reach in time to see it If I were to visit Island Vinnies again, I would make it a point to do a longer Scuba Diving course, maybe try for a certification in it. I would surely look to coming for atleast 2 weeks, and soak in the island experience, which is simple and friendly. The resort is away from the main city, which makes it exclusive and relaxed Overall, it was a experience, for it dwarfed all the little troubles of life we all have, what worth did they hold in the midst of such beauty
Vinnies island away from the noise and pollution of the city took us a step closer to nature. We were there for water sports activities and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cabana tents were offered to us. Although they were good, but not sufficient large for triple occupancy as offered in the package. Staff people were nice and scuba diving instructors were very good and were good enough to make our scuba diving memorable. Scuba diving instructors Vikram and sahib were too good at their work but when it came to management part sahib was very rude with us who even denied the beach dinner offered in the package and demanded more money for my 8 year old kid on the spot just 1 hour before the dinner and the problem was very tactfully handled by Mr. Rahul. Even during kayaking they forced us to pay our transportation charges which was included in the package but later on refunded the money when we insisted on it. Even as mentioned in the package bottle of wine during beach dinner was not provided to us which was included in the package. THE FULL MOON CAFE served delicious food which could beat even 5 star chefs. And cafe rates were too reasonable. Even during our return from havelock they booked our tickets on private ferry and asked us to pay for the price difference between private and Govt ferry, which they booked by themselves. But later when we took a stand agreed not to take extra charges. We felt that they wanted to extract some more money in one form or the other during these three days stay. Except for all these flaws I would like to go and stay with them provided they remain fair with their customers .
Everything about this place is awesome. Rather than review this place in a single paragraph, I will detail them out as points: . . 1. Getting into Havelock is a bit troublesome, if you are flying in and reaching Port Blair around noon (getting the ferry tickets is best done overnight). Unless you are on a honeymoon or a packaged deal (the resort/operator is going to take care of the finer details for you), and you want to end up in Havelock as soon as possible, getting the meet and greet option (around Rs. 2000, airport to airport) from Vinnies is the best thing you can do in your entire duration of the stay (not exactly though! ). 2. Once you take the ferry and reach the resort, you have the options of three types of accommodation, the standard huts, the upgraded huts (same as the standard, with attached baths though, as they say) and tented cabanas. So if you are planning a backpackers trip (in the monsoons, the standard huts can be as cheap as Rs. 400 a night), or a romantic holiday, they have options available for you (you need to pre-book though). The monsoons (non season) discount is insane at 50% off. If you want to be staying in the huts, you need to be diving with them though (that is not a problem, as Dive India is an amazing and one of the best diving operators in India) 3. Now, that you have settled in, go to the accompanying dive centre (Dive India) and book some dives (if you are not a certified diver, do a course with them, you will never regret it), or you can even do a try dive in the ocean. The underwater world definitely warrants some separate screen space though 4. With the activities settled for (oh wait! They organize trips to the nearby islands, and the mangrove forest on requests and sufficient people), time to grab some food. The Full Moon Cafe, inside the premises has awesome food, except alcohol though (no worries about that part, there is a bar just nearby to Vinnies) So to sum up it all, a quick How to spend your day in Havelock:. Wake up, go to the cafe and order breakfast. Head to the dive centre and set up your gear, all the while your wonderful breakfast is being cooked. Eat to your content (don't stuff, you might end up feeding the fishes' on the boat ride). Head for two dives in the reefs. Order lunch. Have a Bath, freshen up and enjoy your lunch. Laze around the cafe with your dive buddies. Sleep in the hammocks or play a friendly volleyball game or the best is cuddling the resident dogs. Go for a night dive after that. Dinner and sleep for the same routine the next day. A day can NOT be spent better than this. Oh and before returning make sure you get yourself a Dive India tee from them (not on the house though).
Island Vinnies was bit expensive but good rooms. WiFi was provided and cultural activities was provided in the evening. Rooms was spacious. Food and drinks was not that great. Service was good, Reception was also good. Location was okay. Staff's was average. Over all Recommendable.
Nice, tidy spacious rooms. Was very please to be in this room after the long flights from the hotel !! Great location was easy to walk and go anywhere else via central station. The staff were excellent. Concierge gave lots of handy info and answered all questions well. Check in was quick -just what was needed after hours of travelling Only used pool and sauna once but they were nice to relax in after a day exploring.
