History revisited.

The development of the place obscures the stark violence perpetrated on the people. A proper guided tour audiovisual show would remind the visitors and future generations of the atrocities and sacrifices. People of next generation will not even know of this significant piece of history of the freedom struggle. To preserve history we must value and respect it.

Historical Place

I went with my kids to give them a sense of the history related to the Independence struggle. It was a good visit for all of us to relate to the textbook stories we have read and to see the actual place. It was also a emotional moment for me to see the well and the sacrifices made.

The heinous massacre

Whenever I listen about Jallianwala bagh all those innocent killing stories come to my mind. Since my schooldays, I have always been criticizing this heinous massacre. Where the cowardice killed our people. The premises of Jallianwala Bagh has still that well where people got martyred, those signs of bullets. I got goosebumps while roaming around the park. Jallianwala Bagh is just beside the Golden Temple. Be there and pay your tribute to our brave fighters.

A memorial built on blood

Jallianwala bhagh memorial is a garden situated near the Golden temple and is built to commemorate the infamous Jallianwala bhagh massacre in which British soldiers opened fire on a non protesting crowd leading to the death of about 1000 villagers. The bullet marks from the incident can still be seen and are marked in the park walls. A huge pillar like memorial is constructed in the middle of the park to pay respect for the victims.
