My wife and me stayed in Jhankar about 20 years ago. We had a very pleasant memory. When we went there this time, lo and behold they treated us the same way. We were pleasantly surprised. Kudos to them Room was spic and span. Every amenities were there. Dining room was good with excellent services. We were in a package tour and whatever we wanted to eat they simply obliged even serving us wonderful fish curry I suggest, everybody to take a package tour with the MP tourism people. They are exceptionally good, particularly in their office located in Hotel Janpath, New Delhi.
After a long and tedious journey for over six hours we reached Hotel Jhankar, Khajuraho from Bandhavgarh in the evening, missed our lunch. We were greeted by very hospitable staff who immediately arranged refreshments for us. The stay was good as front desk and restaurant staff were very cooperative. The room was spacious although the toilet was small.
Room was very nice, comfortable, AC was good. Wash room is very good and maintained. Fooding was very tasty, restaurant service are very good. Getting my cloths cleaned there, at very reasonable and excellent quality of wash, which I missed at several hotels. We took the photograph with the staff. It was really a great experience to stay there. Internet services needs to improve for its speed and availability in the hotel. Bar services we have not used.
The hotel is very near to the Western Group of Khujraho Temples. Since it is run by MP Tourism the hotel also arranges for guides as well as light and sound show tickets if requested. The staff are very helpful and provides guidance. The food menu remains the same which is standard for all MP Tourism run hotel. Overall, experience was good. The rooms are big enough and are comfortable. A good value for money option.
I stayed in this hotel in December 2014 with parents. The hotel is run by MP tourism and is a value for money stay. It has ample parking, play area for kids, prime location and courteous staff. Western group of temples are only 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff, if requested can arrange ASI or MP State guide for you and can also guide you about the availability of seats in light and sound show. Overall a prime location hotel with value for money.
Excellent service but hotel was okay. My stay was nice and quite comfortable and I stayed for two days here. It was a government property, services were fast and staff was also quite good. Food was awesome, great value for money and when you check-in here. Clean, neat, efficient and with no frills, a really good nature service team and very decent food at a great price.

Overall interior and exterior of the hotel was good and impressive. Room was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. Room was well furnished and provided all the basic amenities. Vegetarian food served was good. There was no activity in the hotel. Sightseeing was offered by the hotel. Hotel was value for money. I would suggest to increase the number of rooms.

Okay hotel. My stay was nice and quite comfortable. I stayed for 2 or 3 days here. It is a government property. Services are fast and staff was also quite good. Food was awesome. All varieties they served in veg and non veg dishes. Rooms were neat and clean and comfortable furniture was there. TV and geyser was also available. Location was nice. It is in main city area itself, easy to locate. Booking and front office was cooperative. Khajuraho as a tourist place is very nice. There is still room for improvement and it can be much better.
I stayed in Hotel Jhankar, a Madhya Pradesh state tourism department hotel, with my wife recently. Usually I avoid state tourism dept hotels due to the poor upkeep and services. To my surprise as a budget hotel its services and upkeep are surprisingly better than others. In fact I have stayed in a few other MP tourism dept hotels and I have found them good. I want to convey my appreciation to MP tourism through you.
