I had booked a room in this resort for 2N/3D. This is very close to the Nagarhole gate, walkable distance to be exact. They provide different categories of room. The resort is spread across a huge area, covered with trees and those interested in birding can get a chance to view many varieties of them. Walk out of the resort and you can see the Nagarhole forest just opposite side of the road. Below are the few pointers regarding the resort- 1-Location: The resort is located very close to the National Park and you can walk to the gate. 4/5 2-Food: The food spread was huge, however, the food did not taste that good. The food tasted almost the same. It needs a major revamp. 2/5 3-Accommodation: The accommodation was very comfortable and neat. All the windows had netting on them and thus there was no chance of any insects coming in. The washroom, closet area, bedroom, and the outside seating area was clean and well maintained.4/5 4-Safari: You can individually book safaris either at the JLR counter or you can do the same in the ticket counter of the NP. The other option is to ask the resort to book a jeep safari for you. 5-Amenities and entertainment: The resort is well-equipped with amenities and has various activities for entertainment. They have a volleyball area, a badminton area, and childrens play area. Also, they have a campfire in the evening and also a wildlife documentary show. Things could be much better if they can add a nature walk or a bird walk in the morning or evening.3/5 6- Ambiance: The overall ambiance of the resort was good. It could have been better if they could have instructed the guests to keep calm and not create commotion and play loud music, which seriously hampers your quality of sleep. 2/5 Major changes are required in terms of food and managing the guests (the noisy ones).
Very good resort for families to stay. There resort is located Veeranahosahalli in a 3 acre area with basic facilities, it's half km from Nagerhole gate. They also farm houses 14 km from Nagerhole gate. Overall it's a very simple setup. The people running the resort are very good and helpful. If you have stayed in JLR property you will note that all resort in that area have similar setup and service, some have better service while other are okay. This resort falls in the okay category hence you make sure you have expectation set accordingly. This resort doesn't serve liquor but you can always buy and have it within their premises. The forest office and safari zone is 28 KM away from the Nagerhole gate hence you need to travel by your own vehicle or JLR jeep to reach the gate to do the safari. If you have opted for JLR safari then you ready 1. 30 hrs before safari as you need time to travel to the gate. There are other places that visit from this resort such Irruppu Falls, Barapole River Rafting, Conical Monastery & many more
Nice place to visit in summer. You can spot wild animals near to road. Go slow through the road. Jungle inn is good place to stay. Good service. Food is good mainly non-veg dishes. Indoor and outdoor activities are available. Calm&quite environment
I have been to Nagarhole on 31st December 2015. Cottage is conveniently located and well connected to the bus stand and 20 km far from the Nagarhole forest. Appearance was average and there was not enough staff to provide any services. There was huge power cut issue and our 31st night wasted for that. Overall experience was good and cottage was well maintained. We had food from there and that was good. They did not organise any activities in the cottage.
We went to Nagarhole Jungle Inn resort as group of 11 people during early April (A small group of IT guys along with our mothers. It is a homely Jungle lodge on the outskirts of Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka towards the Hunsur side This place is apt for Bangaloreans as this beautifully green resort is accessible by roads by 5 hours and gives you a homely feeling living in the Cottages with simple amenities. For transportation we took a TT and for accommodation we took family room (6 bedded + 2 bathrooms) and 1 single room with 5 beds. The food was really good with poultry perhaps from their own farms. At night you need to be careful to close the doors early as the area is insect, mosquito prone. They also offer campfire with tribal dance which was amazing! We also danced the tribal way, we managed to climb on a tree as well Overall it was an amazing experience.
We reached Nagarhole at night after around 160 km drive from Sakleshpur, new year time, tourist time of the year, luckily we got 3 rooms after booking online in advance, but rooms were spacious and comfortable, each room can easily have 4 person. Hotel have a beautiful appearance, with natural green colours of the environment surrounded all around it. Washrooms were clean with hot water available. Rooms have no TV in it but the absence of it does not felt due to the fascinating atmosphere of the entire place Hotel is situated on just on the border of the National park, management arranged our safari trip, we spent 3 days with complete relaxation in most peaceful place in karnataka. Food was awesome, had a different taste due to the calmness of the place and jungle atmosphere. One of our group team spotted Tiger during their safari. We had complete enjoyment and relaxation before leaving for Virajpet on the 4th day.
I spent 10 days this past September 2014 and had a relaxing time. No phone or TV in the room. Gave me plenty time to bird watch, and enjoy the wildlife trips. The food was locally made and superb, buffet style and very tasty. The service was personal and attentive. The rooms were good and prices are very reasonable. I got what I was looking for, total relaxation and enjoying the serenity of nature.
This resort is the closest place to stay to Nagarhole National Park. The cottages were very clean and very kept. The food is decent and we liked it, there was variety and it was homely food. The location is nice, the service is very good. The staff are friendly. I would recommend this place to go with friends, or even as couples. Places to cover: Nagarhole Day Safari. Monastery in Gurupur.
The Jungle Inn was very tranquil, with the birds chirping & the with the wind rustling through the leaves. We were allotted a spacious family room with ample light & water facility. The dining room was located close by. The hospitality of the Chef & his team were exemplary. It was service with smiles always. There was variety of food. It was delicious, hot, tasty & in plenty. It was a splendid place to spend quality time with aged parents, siblings, young grandchildren & friends. An ideal holiday destination. Cool, serene, relaxing stay. I will definitely revisit with friends.
It was awesome, just people just need to take break and enjoy the stay at this hotel and the nature is very good. Forest is very dense and they will take you for safari. Please note the timings or ask anyone regarding safari timings because time is very short. About 30km of forest ride you can enjoy till Mysore main road. Enjoy your stay in Jungle Inn !!
We had a great time Jungle Inn.The rooms were very well maintained and was clean(especially the rest rooms).Service was at its best, food was very tasty.Safari was provided on the main road of the forest but still we spotted Dears,Indian Gaur,Wild pig,Elephant and peacocks. We enjoyed the wild life safari as it was for almost 2-3hours and even the safari driver Mr.Manju was so good that he gave us enough time to click photographs and also was very knowledgeable about animals. At night we joined the tribal people and danced with themm around the camp fire.Tribal dance was a very new experience which was worth watching once. The owners as well the service staff were very good.
Away from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan is this quaint place located. Amidst the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves was our beautiful cottage. The entire resort is quite big and for someone who wants to spend quality time with family or just be by himself. The experience was terrific and the ambience just made the feeling that much more to take home with.
I have to be very true here. I am basically an engineering student. When I first planned to visit nagarhole, the only resort every website seemed to suggest was kabini river lodge(but the tariff was high-2500 per night). After some frantic searching I came across www. Jungleinnnagarhole. Com(tariff 1500-per night) and I found it to be okay. I emailed them about my visit and truly I got the reply the very next day. It felt very good. After a couple of e-mails and phone calls, I booked on may 26. They had given us an itinerary and we reached there on may 26th morning 11. 30. It is just before the north western entrance of nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. The resort is actually the colonial bungalows of the british which have been converted to its present scale. The manager received us and we had booked a family room (I went with three of my friends). The room was a normal one. Pretty good. The other option there is tented cottages which are really cool but the tariff is 300 more than for the family room. They had given us a itinerary and my oh my it was strictly followed. The food there was awesome. The lunch, Dinner and The breakfast (all buffet style) was truly good. Their specilaity is that they grow their own vegetables by using organic manure (no pesticides). After Lunch we left for the a wildlife safari at 3. 15 pm. A jeep was arranged for us and we went through the forests. The safari was good but we couldn't spot the elusive tiger or bear or the leopard. We arrived back at 7. 15pm little disappointed although the ride was extremely good. We were getting ready for the camp fire but it started raining heavily. We moved to play carrom and at 9 pm we saw a wildlife movie about nagarhole(This movie really opened our ignorant eyes to how life in a jungle changes through the various seasons and how human beings are damaging the fragile ecological balance). Then we had an excellent dinner. We slept sound and were woken up early in the morning for another safari. This time we were lucky enough to spot two bears but no tiger. Anyway the morning safari was enchanting. Slowly I began developing an affection for wildlife. Of course we saw a lot of elephants, Gaur, wild pigs, chitodes and Sambhar deer but the elusive tiger. We returned back for breakfast (again wonderful). Then we checked out for our future journey. There are no restaurant available nearby and the food is served in buffet style. You cannot make separate orders here. Of course you get a coke for 20 bucks. The place is in sync with jungle and no supplies are available here. The staff although local people (except a few were very courteous. There are also a few things you can do like rapelling, trekking, coracle ride and tribal dances. For these you have to stay for two or more days.
Jungle Inn is very near to Mysore. We just left to Nagarhole from Mysore and after reaching there, we thought of giving a try to find a room in this hotel. It is very difficult to find rooms at last minute. With the help of a friend we got a room. It is a very lovely & lively place to spend your time. Everything you find there is exceptional.
overall experience was bad and had to beg for everything including sheets, food, cleaning and whatever else you can think of to make the holiday worthwhile
