The ruins of the old township of Kakuni are situated on the banks of River Parwan, in the district of Baran. The region is located at a distance of about 65 kilometres from Jhalawar. The place has ruined temples that were dedicated to various Jains and Hindu deities such as the Shiva Lingam that dates back to 8th century and the life-size idol of Lord Ganesha. On the other side of River Parvan, the ruin of the Bhimgarh Fort is situated that was built by Raja Bhim Deo.
