Fresh and lively

This forest is very good to the nature lovers. This forest cover is quite dense and there are variety of trees and plants seen in the forest. The forest has a good amount of trees to cover the lane across the forest. During monsoon it is very lively.

Great scenic beauty while going through Kankeshwar Forest

Great scenic beauty while going through Kankeshwar Forest. It is tiring though and it is more of trekking spot. If you have small kid you may want to skip this place. Great place for trekkers.

A nice, exciting walk up the hill

Start early in the morning before the sun starts to trouble you. There are about 800 steps (no car road or rope way). Halfway after climbing, the dense woods start and you can enjoy the beautiful nature. The Water well / Kund is very beautiful and the Shankar temple is awesome. Don't eat at the small stalls there, go to the small home of Mr Datar and get Kanda Pohe there. You will get a really homely and lovely Kanda Pohe here. I have not eaten such amazing pohe anywhere else. Also further to Mr Datar's home there are broad steps which go further into the woods and it is a nice way to go ahead. You will find a very beautiful Gomukh there and cold water rushes out of it, in monsoon.A must see for people who are fit.

Good point for hiking

If senior citizens are there with you, it will be difficult for them to climb up.
