Kanichipuram famous place

A devotional place of kamakshi goddess, the place is very peaceful but, should not visit in summer as the temperature is very high up to 45c, please you go in the monsoon time you can have peace. The architecture of the temple is renovated by the tamilnadu government which is very beautiful, every south Indian temple is special for the architecture inside.

Temple renovation under way

The grand restoration of Kamakshi Amma temple is under way. Most of the work is done and they expect to complete the renovation process by February 2017. The temple management authorities had made excellent arrangements so that devotees do not have any problem in having Sri Kamakshi Amma darshan. You will enjoy the temple greatly if you visit post renovation work.

A very nice temple

In the temple town this temple is very famous and nice temple. You should have the patience to wait for darshanand it is moderately big with many entrances. Avoid going in hot sun as you have to walk barefoot to reach the main temple.

Beautiful temple

This is an extremely old temple, and is in the center of town. Its easy to get to, and is walkable from the bus stand. Opens early (5:30AM -12PM) and 4PM-7:30PM. There is also a Sankar Mutt close to this temple which is very peaceful and worth a visit.
