This place is similar to SAM SAND DUNES, but this place is quite peaceful as compare to sam. This is situated near 30-35 km far from sam and as well as jaiselmer city. This place is hassle free and you will enjoy sunrise and sunset more because of less people visist this place.

Khuri, also known as Tilo Ki Dhani, is a natural hamlet in Thar Desert close to Jaisalmer. Renowned for sand dunes and vast stretch of sandbank, Khuri is an ideal place for camel safari.Considered as one of the less explored hamlets in Thar Desert, the sand dunes the village offers the majestic views of mesmerizing sunrise and sunset and the ripples created by the flying sands in the winds makes the tourist fall in love with the golden sand.

Local song of Rajasthan will blow your heart

As a Khuri village is too near to the desert, the rann which we called the camp people are too friendly and helping. The night program with the local song of Rajasthan will blow your heart.

Excellent place

Excellent place to visit. Approx 30 kms from Sam sand dunes. Cut off directly from jaisalmer to visit serene beauty. The place has got only 4 resorts and population of this village is very low. Sam on the other hand is highly commercialised with some 50-60 resorts. Cultural activities with folk music is arranged for a small fee. Best experience is to sleep in open desert with small bonfire.

Best place to experience sand dunes

It is easy to reach this place, you can hire camels for desert ride but not to forget bargain. There rates are very high but one can bargain according to one's pockets. Remember to come back before darkness.

Sand and Sun oriented place

Beautiful memories captured on January. The most awesome place I ever visited, lonely sand oriented, good for families, solo travellers as well as newly married. The hospitality was really awesome.

An unforgettable night below the stars

Camel rides to the desert, rolling down the soft sand dunes, seeing the sun set behind the dunes leaving a orange-crimson hue all over, dancing up an appetite around the bonfire, gobbling down freshly cooked food, chatting and dancing around the bonfire again till the stars completely light up the sky (..a sight so gorgeous you have to stop all other activity and just stare! ). Rolling out our beds and snuggling under the comfortable quilts to gaze at all the beauty above, dozing off in the peaceful silence, waking up to see the sun rise, sipping on our morning cuppa and riding the camels back to Badal ji's house.. In one word: Mesmerizing!!!Staying on the dunes for a night is an absolute must to experience Rajasthan in all it's true glory. While the experience seems a little scary, it actually isn't. Yes it's dark but isn't every night? Yes it's cold in winter but you have thick quilts (that they provide) that'll keep you comfy and warm. No, there isn't too much insect trouble, no wolves at your feet, nothing scary for women, none of the scary things you imagine really. Moreover, there'll be 2-3 people (the support staff) sleeping just a few meters away just in case you need anything.Do carry a torch also wet wipes hand sanitizer for your hygiene requirements. The charges are reasonable, vary from 500-1000 depending on the service provider, the camel/camel carts desired and your heart :). Highly recommend Badal House.

The real adventure

This visit was the best part of the trip, the natural sand dunes look fantastic, and the camel safari in a group is really enjoyable. Moreover the scene of the sunset was just like a phantom in the sky, photograph of the sunset is enclosed to be appreciated.
