Beautiful

Its worth the effort and the time you would put in - if there is water. We went when there was full water . The place is beautiful. The steps - well maintained and yes there are about 200 steps !. There are but places to sit and rest on the way down and up so it is not that bad. But all the effort is worth it. Before you go though check with the locals if there is water! Its worth the time spend!

Good one. If you are game for trek ..

If you are the one who likes the journey and not so fixated on the destination, then this is a good trek. Yes. A good nice trek. It's about 200 steps down and back. The return is tough. So be mindful. The waterfall as such is very simple and small place. No real excitement, if you are the adventure or even the sightseeing types. It's nice. Please for 1. 5 to 2 hours at a minimum. 20 mins climb down, 30 to 60 mins at falls. And again about 20 to 30 mins climb up.

Good place inside the jungle

Nice view during Monsoon time. Waterfall more than 120 ft height. We have to climb up and down more than 80 steps. Steps are also very narrow. It is located inside the jungle.

Cool and chillout

Yercaud is also a wonderful place in Tamil Nadu like Ooty, Kodaikanal. Its near to Salem just 1 hr to reach. Now the climate and rainy season makes it really cool view. Come on lets chill out us.

Nice Falls but many stairs to climb down and up

Nice falls, best time to visit early in the Morning to avoid crowd. We visited at 7 and there were few other families there. Later when we were returning, we could see groups of Hooligans coming. There are too many stairs to climb down and the climb up later. Be watchful of your steps when you are there, there are a few Snakes.

Too adventurous with no gains

Reaching this point needs real guts as you have to climb so many stairs and keep going. In the end you reach a very very small fall which is not worthy. Family guys do not go - its waste of time. Adventurous groups may attempt but return with kids give you nightmares. Overall you should not go to this place.

Must go place but not for old people

I visited this place with my friends, initially I got misguided by the local people that you can take your car, but not at all at certain point, after that you have to walk down to reach the falls at the end when we reach the falls, we felt awesome. You can sit for hours and listen to the sound of water, don't go at the night time it's risky. Strongly recommend but not at the night time.

Avoided for old people

The road is too small and difficult to drive for car drivers. Once you reach you need to be ready to climb 220 steps or else don't go there. Better old age people don't go since you will feel tired.

Long Steep Walk

Its a long walk before one reaches the falls. One has to go through steep drops, steep stairs and rocky slopes to reach the falls. Below average falls, as expected in Dec. Carry water and a long stick. It'll be very beneficial while climbing back. Elderly people, can avoid. Its quite a trek!

Walk down to reach the fall

Well on the second last night only I saw the sign board killiyur Falls. It was a surprise for my family when I drove them to the falls. You have to walk down at least 100 steps to reach the falls.
