Simple but relaxing resort with basic amenities

Kiwa shell or ocean beach resort run by Mrs Nalini is having 8 or so cottages with AC, comfy bed, clean room and Bath, small bed for kid is one of the best available choices. It is nothing like a great resot but has nice hammock and swings between cottages. A small but non functional pool. Food is average. You have to give order atleast 1. 5 hrs before hand. We are veg so no clue about sea. Food or non-veg food here. Staff is nice and courteous. Resort is near beach and just 5 minutes walk frim the sea shore. Resort does not have its own activity as such. But has v nice and cozy environment in eve and night.

Best hotel for a comfortable stay

Absolutely amazing service and hospitality. The stay of 4 days was very comfortable. The service staff were so courteous. Other services like housekeeping etc were up to the mark. The food were absolutely lip smacking. I will definitely rate this on the higher side among the resorts of similar class. I will definitely give it another try in future. Cheers to the team. All the best.

Wonderful stay & a must visit place

Kiva Shell Beach Resort is only the spot to unwind - hang free. It's amazingly green and very, with the exception of a lot of lovely winged creatures trilling The accommodation is of interesting ventilated houses around a little swimming pool. The sustenance is so crisp and delicious. You can arrange nourishment of your decision and taste. And so on and it will be the woman in control Mrs. Sethia is dependably there prepared to help and open to proposals and last however not the slightest it is a bounce, skip and hop from a wonderful shoreline with bounty to accomplish for you and the children. However pleasant the cottages are and the area is, the inconceivably well disposed staff and the heavenly sustenance they make topped it all! We stayed for one night as we were cycling further along the Konkan drift however we would most likely about-face here. What's more, trim: frosty lager is accessible here which adds to the appeal and most likely extinguished our yearn for day riding! Must visit. I will without a doubt be going by it over and over the length of the present administration is running it.

Fairly good but can improve

Shriwardhan is a place that isn't quite popular as a beach destination; the attraction of a beach touch property was my primary motivation to choose Shriwardhan and Kiva Shell Beach Resort over the more popular neighbouring destination of Diveagar. And to be fair, I was not disappointed with the property, and even less with the beach. Shriwardhan beach is a roaring hamlet - not as calm as the belt around Alibaug or Dapoli, not as violent as Ganpatipule or Diveagar. Very much comparable with Kashid, great for water sports, and you would be pleasantly surprised to see water sports facility actually available. Now about the resort; it is not exactly beach touch (in the sense you can't directly walk into the beach or view the sea from within the property) but it is an easy 200 metres walk to the beach so it actually gives you most of the benefits of a beach touch property. Let's look into specific aspects of the resort now. Accommodation, it is not really a resort; just a small aggregation of temporarily constructed cottages (7 in number); pretty neatly maintained and soothing ambience. We were checked into cottages 6 & 7 and it was extremely disappointing - A/C not working, TV not working, paint worn off, seemed like it had not been occupied in ages. However, on reporting these issues we were promptly shifted to cottages 4 & 5 which were quite contrary - everything in proper order, well painted, not very fresh but definitely much better than 6 & 7. It seemed cottages 1 to 5 are frequently used and well maintained, 6 & 7 for some reason beyond comprehension were in utter disuse. Cottages are spacious, ventilation could have been better. As it is temporary construction, you can hear voices across the cottages if there is a common wall - so unless adjacent cottages are occupied by same family you will find a lack of privacy. Housekeeping nearly pathetic; cleansing agents used were very strong, I can bet blankets have never been washed. On the contrary, bed sheets and pillow covers were very clean. You can get housekeeping service whenever you want, no fuss. Service staff is very sincere in service; try to give their best. Housekeeping service is fairly prompt but restaurant service always took long. We asked for detergents to wash clothes and they obliged, we asked for hair oil - they didn't have in stock but got it in the evening. Sincerely of service and personal attention will win you over. Food was pretty good in taste, as good as home cooked; but if you are staying long you won't get much variety and it can become a bit monotonous. By the manager's own admission, they struggled what to feed us and how to refrain from repeating the menu since we stayed there four days. The restaurant service is not prompt but very good in terms of quality and taste. I found the solkadi served at Kiva Shells most fresh and tasty I have ever had. Amenities were not much to talk about; room amenities are fair, and what is not there you can ask for it. The swimming pool was in utter disuse. They had some indoor games like carom board but we didn't avail them so not sure in what condition they are. Tips for travellers, Kiva Shell Beach Resort will be extremely satisfying if you are beach bums just looking for fun and relaxation in the beach, good food and comfortable accommodation. If your idea of holiday is more than this, Kiva Shell Beach Resort and Shriwardhan are not the right place. Ask for whatever you need, they will do the best to be of help. Order food well in advance. Tips for management, give cottages 6 & 7 an urgent makeover. Replace rusted hangers and locks in all rooms. Add exhaust fans to all rooms so that it is easy to maintain freshness when rooms are not occupied. Ensure that blankets are washed periodically. These aspects were let down and simply unacceptable; other than these you are doing fairly well. If you want to go beyond these, polish the furniture, some people would love the rustic feel of unpolished furniture but most would not.
