Can go up on the Gopuram

This temple is in the centre of the city. Lord Primal is gigantic in sitting posture. At the entrance of the temple, in its office, for Rs. 10, you can go up on the gopuram with a flight of stairs. At next level, gigantic Lord is standing. No puja. At the highest level, the Lord is lying down, gigantic, have to see with awe. From that height one can see the busy Madurai city all round . This temple gopuram also is painted with bright colours. Yazhi on the top of the gopuram . The architecture and sculpture needs to be appreciated in every pillar and the ceiling. Dashavataram and astalakshmis in pillars . If you go on the left side to Amble temple, there is a temple for Sudharshan. At the back of the statue of Sudharshan, there is another God. One goes around 2 Gods at the same time.
