I love The Lalit Grand Palace, Srinagar, and quite enjoy staying there. The hotel is nothing short of a palace. We loved our stay there. The location of the hotel is convenient and central. It is located just opposite to the Dal lake. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was spacious, neat and well maintained. The housekeeping service was excellent. Overall, a great hotel for staying in Srinagar.
The Lalit is majestic, and pricey. However, the hotel and it's grounds do make it an experience worth remembering. Our family stayed two nights and we spent most of our time indoors. The gardens are really vast and pretty and will be prettier in full bloom. We stayed in a first-floor room in the new wing, and it was spacious and comfortable. The windows looked out to the lawns. We had dinner in our room on both nights and while the food was extremely pricey, it was also tasty and the quantities were good. The hotel offers a tour of their property, the heritage wing is nice. We also tried the Dale Bar, had two cocktails, thought the mojito was better. Both drinks were extremely expensive but I don't think there is any other hotel with a bar in Srinagar. I also got a massage at the Rejuve Spa - while pricey, again, it was well worth it. All in all, an excellent experience.
Had an amazing stay in this beautiful property. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful landscapes. Hospitality is commendable. Everything about this property is a royal epiphany. From the moment you see the majestic lion statues and embark on the long majestic path to the palace, you know you are at a very special place. The photos do not do justice to the palace one bit. The palace boasts of decades and decades of rich history. The hotel will take you for the most exciting and explanatory royal tour which will cover all of it. However, the most coveted memories we hold of this place is of the exemplary service we received.
The beautiful sprawling property with views of Dale Lake offers the best of Kashmir. From the shade of the chinars and juicy apples from the hotel's orchard to uninterrupted views and Kashmiri wazwan delicacies, the experience offers the best of Kashmir. The staff is caring and jovial and make sure to look into little details that will make your stay here comfortable and pleasant.
When you just step in to the hotel you feel like you are treated as a Royalty. No matter if you are on business or holiday. The best part of this hotel is fantastic lobby, wonderful staff and ground floor rooms have balconies opens to the huge lawns! Try to get a room with garden view, you will feel like you are in another world.
