The Konkani Hut was in terrible shape! An insult to Konkani's. They were cutting down many trees within the campus which was noisy. An excavator was working on the beach front for the hotel which was also very noisy. No water sports etc after nearly end of May 2017. Not much Veg only food restaurants in resort or nearby. Not worth travelling such a long distance if there is no water sports.
I went to Tarkarli during the month of December 2016 and booked the rooms in the Holiday Resort Tarkarli. It was my holiday trip with family. The destination Tarkarli was average. My hotel location was very good because of transportation facility. The appearance of the hotel was good because it is clean and neat. I would rate the front desk staff as good because of their responsive on time. I booked my room through online. The services which were provided in the hotel were very good because of quick response and politeness. Rooms which we stayed in were good with facilities and hygiene. I would rate food as good because of taste and price is not high.
During the month of February I visited this hotel, it was for business purpose and I went alone. The destination was really good; also the location of the hotel was nice. One could reach the hotel by car, cab or any other thing. The appearance of the hotel was good as the front view of the hotel was good; also the front office of the hotel was nice. Rooms in the hotel were good as the ambience was really nice. The service of the hotel was not that good, they maintain the hotel. The foods and drinks available in the hotel were really good and it was available anytime. WiFi facility was available in the hotel and it was for free. The overall experience of the hotel was all good and I enjoyed my trip.
As I mentioned in my review on Tarkarli houseboats, I have been to Tarkarli twice. Once I stayed in the house boats and the second time in the resort. I truly enjoyed both stays The resort is well located and quite spacious. The resort directly faces the beach, so you can easily walk up to the beach from your cottages. We stayed in the AC cottages. While the cottages were clean, we found them a little dimly lit (probably it was because of their structure). They have hammocks tied to trees almost outside each cottage. We loved lounging in these. What I really liked about this resort were the little beach huts that they have made facing the beach. These were lovely to sit at nights and watch the moonlit sea The only complaint I had here was regarding the food. While I loved the food served in the house boats, the resort food was quite sub-standard. Also their menu is divided as per time, so the breakfast items will only be available during breakfast timing, lunch during lunch and so on. While the food wasn't as good, we dint have any options in the area, so we ate any way Again, like the houseboats, you need to book the resort in advance as it gets sold out very fast, especially on long weekends.
I had visited this hotel with my friend. The location of the hotel was awesome. The appearance of the hotel was very nice. The service was good. The room was clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was not available inside the hotel. I didn’t take the food from the hotel. The food facility was available inside the hotel.
Appearance of the hotel was good. The room allotted to me was good. The food provided to me inside the hotel, it was tasty and average in quality. There were no activities organised by the management. The trip was with family for relaxation. The tariff charged was three thousand per day. The stay in the hotel was value for money. AC, TV, was provided in working condition. Wash rooms were well maintained.
The appearance of the hotel was average. I taste food from this hotel. I had visited his hotel for holiday purpose with my family. The room facility was average in the hotel. The behaviour was okay in the hotel. The hotel was located outside the city. The WiFi connection was not provided by the hotel. The provided room was maintained neat and clean in the hotel. The booking process was good in the hotel. The hot water facility was provided by the hotel. The room price was not reasonable in the hotel.
I am completely in love with this place. I visited this place second time with our group of friends and had an amazing time. Earlier I went there on my anniversary and I can say one thing for sure, whether you visit it as a couple or are on a family vacation or picnic, this place has everything for all. Located on the shore of Arabian ocean, the views are picturesque and breathtaking. Rooms are averagely maintained but food is good. They have small playground for kids and benches put across the beach. You can watch the sunset while watching your kids playing. A good place to unwind yourself from work.
I travelled to this location along with my two other friends Coming to the bad part first, food quality was absolutely pathetic and since no other better option was available nearby we had to live with it Sleep quality was just okay and I would say value for money Now coming to the good part, the resort opens on to the beach and the beach is very serene and clean They have also created play area for kids which is an added advantage of the vacation at this place Average place to stay with a great location !!
The Hotel is really nice, and to be honest doesn't look like one too. It has nice cottages with hammocks outside each one. You can laze around order room service and it is right in front of the beach. It is the best resort to stay in Tarkarli - a great experience overall. The food was good though vegetarian is limited.
Tarkarli has to be Maharashtra and best kept secret. How else do you explain the fact that even the average Mumbaikar has not heard of it. What do you get there? Gentle waves of crystal clear water, powdery silver-white sandy beaches which stretch for miles, lovely boat cruise on the tranquil backwaters of the Karli creek, the most awesome sea food at ridiculous prices, lovely beaching cottages in an idyllic setting. If you are lucky, some dolphins too The resort is nestled in the midst of a casuarina grove with each of the 20 uncloaking cottages facing the sea. Hammocks and beach umbrellas are generously strewn all over the resort for those whose idea of a perfect holiday is a book. The aesthetically designed cottages look like huts from the outside. There are a few reconditioned cottages which cost only Rs 400 more. The rooms are clean and functional as are the bathrooms. It is great value for money Since there are only few rooms, you may need to book well in advance particularly if you plan to be there during the kids' holidays Efficiency is not the forte of Mr. Mithbaukar who runs the restaurant which is contracted out by. Nor is the quality of food. It is well worth your while to drive the 7 km into Malvan town for every meal (except breakfast). The food in Malvan (for the uninitiated, Malvani food can give Thai a run for its money as far as richness of flavours is concerned) is to die for. In particular, try Saiba which offers a great view of the sea and a really wide selection of food. Bamboo, Ruchira and Chaitanya are homely and have a limited spread. But the food is great as usual. Seer (Surmai), Pomfret (Paplet), Macherel (Bangra), Crab (Khekra) and prawns are staple diet in Malvan and Tarkarli. They don't come better or cheaper than this Every Friday, a large group of people travelling on the Deccan Odyssey descends on the resort for a few hours in the morning. Every Friday the resort dresses up for these train travelers. Ten rooms are perpetually reserved for half a day every Friday. If you book late, you might be among the ones who need to vacate their rooms for a few hours. Another thing to expect is frequent power cuts but the power was invariably back by 6. 30 pm. The staff is friendly and helpful but the service usually slow Did I mention that cellphones don't work here, so chill. There are a few mosquitoes, but has thoughtfully provided repellants in the rooms. However, if you want to party outdoors, carry your own spray/cream. The Sindhudurg fort nearby, built by Shivaji in the 17th century, is also a must see. On your way back, don't forget to buy Zantye's cashews (very cheap), kokum and Malvani masalas at Deulkar's or Anuradha. You can even visit the Zantye's factory if you are interested As long as you know what to expect, absolute nothing will disappoint you. Don't know if this review was such a good idea after all. Next time I am there I don't want to be run over by the hordes who will soon stop going to Goa !.
Overall, my experience in this hotel was very nice. Hotel was located nearby bus stand. There was no difficulty to find that hotel. Staff member was quite good there. Appearance of the hotel was nice. Beautiful private beach was available outside the hotel. It was a single trip just to relax. I had gone there in September 2014. Room was nice. It was spacious, neat and clean. Pillows, bed sheets, AC, TV, or everything was provided in the room. We had food there only. It was costly but it was nice. I preferred non-veg food there. I did not want to play any games there. Destination is value for my money. It is a beach resort. You can go to see the beach. It is a good place. Location wise, it was good. Appearance wise, it was also good. Front office and reception service were nice. Room service was good. Staff service was also good. Food was excellent. Activities were not there due to rainy season. I can suggest this hotel to others. No check in and check out delay was there. Nothing suggestion was there.
Overall experience was good staying in this hotel for three days. It was a family trip in the year of 2013 and there was no difficulty in reaching the hotel. Travel desk was available at the entrance and surrounding of the hotel was good. Market was close to the hotel. The internal and external appearance of the hotel was modern and attractive. The staff were friendly, helpful and quick in response. There was no delay in check in and check out process. The room was spacious, neat, and clean as well as the washroom was good, regularly maintained and I opted for deluxe room. There was a beach view from the hotel room. All amenities were in working condition and pillow, bed sheet was neat. Hot water facility was available, the food quality was okay and both veg and non-veg were available. There was no activities conducted and they should improve in food quality. I would like to recommend other travellers to visit this hotel.
The location was inside but it was convenient to travel as they were proper indications. The hospitality was nice. There was a pool available and we had fun there. The staff were polite and helpful and service was fine and done on time. The room was very spacious and maintained with all the amenities in good working conditions. There was pool view from the room. The food was good in taste and quality. There was no delay in billing as well as check-in and check-out process. There were no refreshing activities arranged by the hotel but that was fine. The money spent is worth paid. The total experience was incredible.
I had gone to Tarkarli Holiday Resort of with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a lovely vacation. This resort is amazing for a 2-3 days relaxed and fun Holiday This resort is located at an amazing place. It is ON THE BEACH! When you get out of your room all you see is beach! TV set is there in the room, but you really do not want it there. It is suggested that we do not compare this hotel to 5star resorts because the location is superb! There are hammocks hung on the pine trees outside every room. If you are vegetarian, there is no variety of food, but for non-vegetarians its a real treat. Sea food offered at the resort is too good and tasty. Typical Malvani style fish curries and crabs are served. There is scuba diving and dolphin rides too, but these are paid activities Service at the hotel is really nice, the staff is friendly and polite. Housekeeping happens timely. Rooms and bathrooms are well kept and clean. Sometimes when there is rush at the restaurant, they may not deliver food to your room, but they tell this very polite that you don't mind going to the restaurant yourself Alcohol is not allowed to be carried on the beach nor in the restaurant. You can have it in your room. You can get it just outside the resort on walking distance. There are some local people who also provide food and dining facilities which are cheaper and equally good. Do not carry alcohol if you are taking your own car to this place it is banned. Vegetarians should carry some dry snacks because you may get bored with the same kind of food I booked a non AC room last time, which was also sea facing however a little further from the sea. I would book an AC Konkani House next time to get a perfectly awesome sea view closest to the beach!
