" God gifted amazing location - Malshej Ghat "

3.1/7

We visited - Malshej Resort on AUG-2018, location of resort is beautiful but. From kalyan to Murbad road condition is very bad, it delays your reaching time to hotel . I will suggest start early morning to reach there on time, Resort management is pathetic no worm water, frequent power failure, poor room service as well as limited choice in hotel resort, poor maintenance of rooms as I was unable to close main door lock I will suggest carry your own towel, soap, shampoo & blankets I will recommend - Malshej Resort management to keep indoor games where guest can enjoy their stay even if they are unable to go out due to heavy rain fall & no entertainment due to power failure, required more capacity electricity generator to provide 24HRS power supply Mr. Manoj S. Waingankar Mumbai .

Our trip to malshej ghat in dec

5.6/7

We traveled to Malshej Ghat from Mumbai. In the month of December. The drive was great and we reached hotel in 3 hours. The hotel is quite good specially the valley view rooms and our stay was very relaxing. We ventured further and found another lovely resort just 3 KMS further -saj by the lake. Impressed by their warm welcome we had lunch there and it was just amazing. They had a lovely ambience, good crockery and mouth watering dishes. So happy were we that we went back for dinner too.

Destination was very good

4.6/7

The destination of the hotel was very good. The sightseeing was not arranged by the hotel. The parking place was available at the hotel. The variety in food was provided in the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my family for holiday trip. There was no WiFi facility provided in the room.

Great Location & Good Place to stay at

4.9/7

The Resort at Malshej Ghat, as with most other Properties, has the Best Location in the area & no other Location comes anywhere near it. The Resort is located just as you exit the Tunnel (when driving from Mumbai) & enter Malshej Ghat. It is a Sprawling Property with different types of accommodation to suit every budget - right from Dormitory Rooms to the new Valley View Cottages, so it suits everyone. We stayed at the new Valley View Cottages & they are well built & well furnished as well with a Large Bedroom containing a King Size Bed, Double Door Cupboard, Dressing Table with Drawers, Mirror & Stool, Centre Table with 2 Chairs & a 2-Seater Sofa which can also be opened up as a nice, comfortable Bed to accommodate additional persons, LCD TV with Videocon DTH, small Refrigerator, Large Balcony at the back with a nice large Plastic Cane Table & two Matching Chairs to sit out, a large Bath cum Toilet area with a 20 liter Storage Geyser, Shower, Commode and a Wash Basin with Mirror. It also has a Split AC, but we visited during the Monsoon & the weather was cold, cloudy & with a good amount of Fog, so only the fan could be used, that too only at night. The Furnishings in the Cottage are new & are of good quality, so our stay was very comfortable. There are 12 such Valley View Cottages. In addition, there are also 18 Super Deluxe Rooms which are also very good for a couple to stay in & are highly recommended. The A, be & C Type Deluxe Rooms & Cottage Rooms are good for those wanting to stay at a lower cost, but they are obviously not as good. The property has ample parking space, a huge children play area with good equipment, a badminton/volley ball court & an outdoor large chess playing area. There is ample space to walk all around & they have an in house restaurant as well, which is the only place currently that you can get some decent non veg food in the whole of Malshej Ghat. At the back of the property is the sheer drop of the valley with a nice walkway with a strong iron railing fixed to make it safe. It is a great experience to walk along this almost 1km walkway to get a beautiful view of the valley deep below & click some great photos as well. The best time to visit is in the monsoons & in winter. In the monsoons, you can enjoy the waterfalls all over & the dense fog as well, which is even denser in the winter. Winters are however very cold here & you need to carry adequate warm clothing. This is undoubtedly the best place to stay at in Malshej Ghat & offers very good value for money. Being a Govt. Owned property however, the maintenance is not that good, the quality of soaps provided is poor & the service is also slow. Some of the older/cheaper rooms also have old hard mattresses & pillows which make sleeping very uncomfortable. The towels provided sometimes can also be a bit shabby, so we always carry our own towels. These are the only drawbacks in an otherwise lovely place to stay.

Pleasant and wonderful stay

5.9/7

Nice hotel, nice place and nice stay without any problems. You will hardly find Mobile network in this hotel and for a getaway tour, we don't want anyone to disturb and this hotel exactly fits how a getaway place should be. Amazing view and a great romantic ambience and amazing weather.

Perfect stay with amazing view

5.1/7

The location of this resort is prime with breathtaking valley views. It's located on a plateau on the ghats and no shops, restaurants can be traced for next 15-20 kms. Rooms are huge with big balconies and almost all amenities to enjoy your stay at this peaceful location. Food is good and ample place with play area made especially for kids. Also in Winters during nights it becomes cold and clouds descend down giving you a feel that you are walking on them. It is an experience to live and enjoy.

Must visit in monsoon, amazing location

5.1/7

This place is no less than heaven in monsoon. You get to walk in the clouds with an amazing view of the valley from the resort. The resort is recently put up and hence the rooms are nice. Do remember to carry mosquito repellents as there are variety of insects flying around Truly speaking Malshej has to be visited during the rains when the place presents itself in all its glory.

Good hotel to stay in great location

3.8/7

Malshejghat is a monsoon destination, it comes alive with numerous waterfalls. We stayed for a day in this resort, it was not good. We had low expectations from and we were correct, not so good rooms and food was below par for us. Make it a day journey if you can and give the hotel a miss. Location is great and the view from top is unbeatable.

Nice resort & reasonably priced

5.2/7

We drove from Pune 135 km from Narayan gaon Junnar rote Ale phata to reach a huge reservoir where Flamingoes come to roost in winter. A drive up the hills of Sahyadri opens up an array of steep hill slopes which allow thousands of waterfalls to fall down on you and your road up and down this Ghat. From Mumbai side, drive up from Kalyan Murbaad section of the Nashik Kalyan road At a vantage plateau that overlooks it all is built the Government of Maharashtra's Malshejghat Resort behind an old one which had actually better location. So that spot at the beginning has been converted into a view point for all tourists motorcyclists who want to enjoy their drive up and down this Ghat. This time, though locals complained to us in October 2nd, 2015 that it had not rained since, the first week of August! We then imagined what would be the spectacle if all the black stone slopes we could see for 240 degrees view would shed water from it's top It would next year I am sure then you go and stay at this nicely built resort at reasonably priced. The long walks the new place invites till the northern point where you come face to face with Harishchandra gadh Fort and Konkan Kada Mount Kalsubai side of the mighty Sahyadri. Great balcony designed on stilts as comforts of A/C Cottages rooms awaits you. My opinion is one would enjoy it all even if you fill the school children or youth dormitory resort offers as most of your time one would spend outside it enjoying it's multiple waterfalls and sprawling 'Pathaars' -green pastures(Thatch or Bugyaals as they call them in the Himalayas). The food was good, but the unique item is water fish, the menu offers as fresh catch from the vast reservoir supplies fish water fish to us Take those swimming gears out or wear Ponchos as tons of water falls on you. For me it was a smaller flow though as monsoon has been unkind this time October 15 You may be part of a school college trip or Corporate group for brainstorming or Group of couples as we were (3) you will find yourself recharged after two days stay here in any season, but especially after the big rains. Now onwards you all start praying for them not only for the sake of our farmer brothers but for us too!
