“ONLY ROOM, NO SERVICE & NO RESTURANT

2.3/7
Posted 10 Nov, 2015

I have booked a nice hotel for 3 days in Vrindavan and instead of staying at Mathura for 2 days I selected to stay at MVT. Actually this is Ashram but nowadays they advertise as a MVT Guesthouse. They charge Rs 1700 well in advance by email. One get better option in such amount as Vrindavan have cheaper and nice hotels. When we entered fixed time for check-in 1 pm and asked for restaurant, we were shocked to know that it is closed for 4-5 months in year and will open & managed by foreigners when they come in winter. However no clarification on their internet ads, no tea/coffee or mineral water bottle available. They a lot only room, do not change bed sheet, towels saying it is not come from laundry. At check-in you have to ask every thing like Towel, Jug of water, Bucket and tumbler in Bath. Moreover intercom is not working so you have to come out and contact reception. Two or three waiters are there but they are not interested in Indian people they only hear of foreigners who stay there for long time. Plus point is a nice garden available and behind ISKCON temple. I will never recommend to those people who expect some service.

Best place in the world to live

7.0/7
Posted 16 Sep, 2015

Very pleasant stay, service is excellent, rooms are wonderful. Nothing better we can get in Sri Vrindavana dham. The place where Krishna performed most of his past times. This MVT Ashram is situated in Raman Reti just behind ISKCON temple. Market is very near transport facility is easily available. Spiritual environment. Govinda restaurant in ISKCON temple is excellent all without onion and garlic food.

Rooms are simple but food is overpriced

5.7/7

Considering few options in Vrindavan, this one comes as a better experience for the service and quality it provides. It is run by ISCKON and is based in a prime location and almost walking to ISCKON temple and few minutes drive to Banke Bihari Temple Rooms though simple, but clean and exquisite, and have a view to the lovely garden makes for a comfortable stay. The food from the restaurant is bit overpriced, but the personal attention made for it, not much options in the menu though Enjoy a walk in the well manicured garden when it is well lit and you will have a divine feeling . It would make for a nice weekend gateway for a short stay for couple of nights from Delhi.

We wend Vrindavan before 4 years and we stay here. It is very beautiful, clean and peaceful place. Excellent stay !. Just behind the Iskon, lovely location. Great staff and very cooperative. Rooms are big equipped with refrigerator, AC, geyser (NO TV). A small kitchen was also there. Rikshaws / Auto for going to bake bihari, rangnathji, in Vrindavan are easily available from MVT outskirts. Overall great experience!

Peaceful stay with good continental & Indian food

6.4/7

The MVT is in Vrindavan. With its beautifully manicured gardens and lovely rooms, making your stay very peaceful and pleasant. It is conveniently located just 50 feet from the back entrance to the Iskon temple. The restaurant has amazing cuisine both continental and Indian. All together the MVT made for a blissful environment and stay. I would highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Vrindavan.
